Polly: "At Brigham Young University's International Student Office! Wisarut (AKA Palm) worked there, and I walked in needing help with getting my work permit and filling out related paper work. My first impression of him was that he was serious, unemotional, and slow at answering my questions. His first impression of me was that I was too energetic, crazy, and asking the wrong type of questions ("she clearly had no idea what she needed help with"). Fast forward 577 days, he knelt down and asked me to marry him, and, having come to experience him being the complete opposite of what I first thought he was like, I of course said YES!!!"
Polly: "He totally surprised me! As far as I was concerned, I was just going to be spending some fun time with a small group of friends in Salt Lake. Little did I know that Wisarut was behind it all. It was very dark, and we were walking down a path in a small park near the Capitol (tired from a fun night with good laughs and tummies stuffed with Pizza) when Wisarut "magically" appeared in front of us. I was SO surprised, but happy, to see him that I nearly cried (long distance relationship isn't fun). With the type of person he is, he went straight to business. 'Pollyanna, I don't want you to just be my girlfriend anymore. I want you to be more. I have come and brought something with me, but before I take it out, I have another very important question to ask you.' Still dazzled at his sudden appearance, my thoughts started racing - Wait, omg, is he proposing?! Omg, I think he is going to propose! But he just got here!! Wait, is he really here?! Why now? I thought he was going to wait until after my semester... like May?! Wait, am I ready? Am I going to say yes? And what is this other question he is talking about?! - Well, that to him ever so important pre-proposal question was, 'Are you willing to take my last name?' I just looked at him. He then added jokingly (but... not jokingly), 'Like I have said before, it comes in a package; you say no to my last name, you say no to me!'. My mind went back to all the debates we had had about his last name, and I had to come to realize that there was just no way around it, and that today I was going to surrender once and for all. Besides, who else would be able to brag about their full name consisting of 15 syllables and 36 letters??? I rolled my eyes, but while carrying a big smile on my face said yes. His face beamed with joy! Then I watched as he proudly took out from his back pocket the ring box, opened it towards me and knelt down on one knee. 'Pollyanna, will you marry me?'"
