FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Wilson and William Palmer
Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We are reserving a private lodge that will accommodate couples, siblings, and friends. You are free to stay with us in your own private cabin, or you can book at any of the local bnb's or hotels in downtown Eureka Springs! I will attach the treehouses and cabins closest to the Lodge on the accommodations page. If you are wanting to walk to the Welcome party, staying across the street at the Grand Treehouse Resort is most accessible. All accommodations will have a trolley stop to take you into the historic downtown as well.

Question

Will there be transportation to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle picking us up from the Woodsman Lodge to take everyone up to the chapel and to Lovell Estate and Winery for dinner afterwards. There will be a shuttle available at the end of the night for guests returning to the Woodsman. Public transportation (local golf cart service) and Ubers are also available.

Question

How far are we from the airport?

Answer

If you are flying into North West Arkansas Airport, it is about 45min-1hr to Eureka Springs. If you are flying into Little Rock, it is about 3.5 hours to Eureka Springs by car. You are free to rent a car from the airports, coordinate a carpool with others from the wedding party, or take whatever transportation best meets your needs. If you are interested in carpooling, please let the bride know if you need assistance coordinating with others.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking available at the Woodsman lodge, Thorncrown Chapel, as well as Lovell Estate and Winery.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please feel free to wear cocktail attire or casual chic to the welcome party, and formal attire (long dresses, suits) for the wedding day. We will be dining outside following the ceremony, weather permitting, after dinner. Heels and cowboys boots welcome :)

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Yes, you can bring your kids! (and dogs) You are responsible for watching them :)

Question

What if we don't want to 'camp'?

Answer

If you are having trouble finding accommodations that fit your vibe, please check out the local hotels: The Park Basin Hotel and The Crescent Hotel. There is also a Best Western nearby, and various local bed and breakfasts. There is a trolley service running daily until 5PM if you would like to explore downtown and the shops.

Question

Where can I get a drink?

Answer

If you're looking for beer, check out Gotahold Brewery (next door to the Woodsman Lodge!) or the Rowdy Beaver Tavern. If you're looking for coffee/tea, check out Java Dudes coffee hut (down the street from Woodsman lodge). For liquor store purchases: Booze Brothers (138 E. Van Buren)

Question

Recommendations for food/quick bites?

Answer

Our local favorites include: Breakfast: Mud Street Cafe, So Good Kitchen (downtown), The Filling Station Lunch/Late Night: Pizza at Skybar (The Crescent Hotel Rooftop), Legends Saloon (2AM) Food Truck Favs: Carmen's Taco Truck, Bombadils, Twisted Taco, Discos Coffee/Tea: Java Dudes Coffee Co., Haunted Grounds Coffee (downtown) Glass of wine & a view at Park Basin Hotel (try the Huckleberry pie and ice cream)

Question

What should I know about Eureka Springs?

Answer

Tucked into the Ozark Mountains, Eureka Springs feels less like a typical town and more like a storybook set randomly on the winding hillsides. With no stoplights and streets that curve around cliffs instead of jutting through them, it's a place where getting lost is a bit of the charm. Founded in the late 1800s, as a Victorian spa town, Eureka grew rapidly after the natural springs were believed to have healing powers- drawing visitors from all over the country. Today, more than 60 of those springs still flow, and the entire downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You should wander the steep, walkable streets lined with art galleries, quirky boutiques, and hidden staircases. Eureka is home to one of America's most haunted hotels- The Crescent Hotel, which offers daily ghost tours with a side of local lore. Beware of bikers, hikers, and adventurers from all walks of life. Eureka Springs is an inclusive, eclectic, and whimsical tourist haven filled with lots of hidden gems. We have enjoyed visiting the local Big Cat sanctuary, having homemade Italian food at Ermilios, and soaking in the hot tubs all over town. We are so excited to share this weird and wonderful spot in the mountains of Arkansas with you! XO Emily and William
