How We Met

Last Stop, Trolley

Beth was on her way back to her cousin's house in St. Anne's with some of his friends. As they walked through the Oregon District she convinced the group to stop at Trolley Stop for one last beverage before home. Upon the groups arrival Beth saw a tall man at the bar and kept her eyes on him from afar. After a beverage, she gained the courage to approach him. They started chatting, found out how many friends, values, and traits they had in common and wondered how they hadn't met before. He hasn't left her alone ever since.

Travel

For those traveling in from out of town, you’ve got two great options for your stay. 1) We’ve reserved a hotel block at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in beautiful downtown Dayton for your convenience (details below!). It’s about a quick 5-minute drive or roughly a 15-minute walk to The Brightside, making it an easy and comfortable home base for the weekend. 2) We also highly encourage you to check out Airbnb/VRBOs in our beloved neighborhood, St. Anne’s Hill. We’re a bit biased (we do live here, after all), but it’s full of charm, character, and historic home. We’d love for you to experience it if you can. St. Anne's is just a 10-minute walk to the venue and right next to the Oregon District, where we’ll most likely end up continuing the celebration after the wedding.

FAQs

Question

Who’s invited to what?

Answer

We’re keeping the ceremony very intimate—only our closest family and friends will be there. If you’re not on that list, relax. You’re invited to the reception to join us for the fun part: drinking, food, and questionable dance moves.

Question

Phones during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely not. No phones, no photos, no recording, no “just one quick snap.” We want you present, not posting. Our photographer has it covered.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual with a fall twist. Think polished but comfortable—slacks, button-downs, blouses, casual dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, boots, jackets, and layers you’d actually want to wear in October. We kindly ask guests to lean into seasonal fall colors (rust, olive, brown, mustard, burgundy, and neutrals). Cozy, elevated autumn vibes encouraged. Neon and summer brights… not so much.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

No. Unless your child is specifically named on the invite, this is a kid-free event. Please enjoy a rare night off—no sticky hands, no chasing toddlers, just cold drinks.

Question

Plus ones?

Answer

If your invite says plus one, you get one. If it doesn’t… that’s not an oversight.
