Our Engagement
In December 2014, Wencel was deployed and mentioned he would be at the port of Chania, Greece. Sarah was on a work trip in Germany and without missing a beat, they planned a weekend escape to meet each other. That short trip turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives—on December 6, under the romantic Greek sky, Wencel got down on one knee and asked Sarah to spend forever with him. That day changed our lives, and that’s why we chose December 6 for our Church wedding and vow renewal—it’s not just a date, it’s our engagement day.
Our Civil Wedding
Eight months after the proposal, Sarah moved to the U.S. in 2015 to start a new chapter together. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, we officially tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony on December 12, 2015 in beautiful San Diego, California. It was a simple, joy-filled day that marked the beginning of our life as husband and wife.

A note on gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to honor us with a gift, a monetary contribution would be sincerely appreciated, as we are limited in what we can bring back home.

When is the RSVP deadline?

We kindly request that you confirm your attendance by October 15, 2025, to help us finalize the guest list. Please note that we will be adhering strictly to the RSVP list, and those who have not responded by this date will unfortunately be unable to attend. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only event. Children will be excluded from the ceremony and reception, with the exception of those in the wedding entourage.

We have a cocktail hour after the ceremony and it will be at the reception outdoor hall. Please enjoy light refreshments, sweet and savory bites and a whimsical photo booth to help capture the magic of our day.
