RV Parking
Several spots to park RV's around the area. McGivern Park is a short walk to our house and across from a shooting range. They have no hookups. Dower Lake Recreation area and Hardys RV resort in Motley have hookups and there is a gas station on Highway 10 where you can dump your tanks if need be.

Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport
This airport is the closest to us and is 45 minutes away. They do however tend to be about twice the price as MSP and typically have stops in between as they're a smaller airport.

Batcher Block Opera House
Originally built in 1907, this amazing opera house is also where our wedding reception will be held. She does tours on request and Friday they'll have live music.
Dower Lake
Home of the longest fishing pier in Minnesota! They also have RV parking, camping, playgrounds and swimming as well as fishing.
Vintage Golf Course
Great for golfing if that's your thing.
Living Legacy Gardens
A beautiful garden that is upkept by our local college.
Historic Train Depot
Historic Train Depot originally built in 1902.
Staples Sportsman's Club (Shooting Range)
Firearm and archery shooting. Trap and bench rest. Free to use and open from 9 am to a 1/2 hour before sunset.

One of our favorite restaurants in town. First restaurant we ate at when we moved to town.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
You should RSVP by August 1, 2025. If you're not able to make it just let us know!
Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
You're welcome to dress up as formally as you like. We would prefer that men wear either suits, button down shirts with or without tie and either slacks or nice jeans. Kilts are acceptable. For women, blouses and button downs with skirts, slacks or nice jeans, dresses you would wear in a church or suits if you're feeling froggy. Our wedding colors are lavender/purple and dark green with gold accents if you'd like to match up with that.

Absolutely, we'll do anything we can to avoid accidentally unaliving you.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
For the ceremony there is ample street parking in front of and beside the church. For the reception at the Opera House there is parking on both sides as well as in front of the venue. However, if you stay at Timberlake Hotel, both are within walking distance (unless you're disabled like us).

As long as they are known and preapproved.
