We first crossed paths through Bend’s local music scene — two familiar faces in the same orbit, drawn to each other long before we truly knew one another. There was an unspoken recognition between us, a pull that felt undeniable and magnetic. Once, across a crowded room, we locked eyes and made a beeline for each other, meeting in a hug that neither of us will ever forget. That feeling lingered until Samantha finally worked up the nerve to message Matt on Facebook. She was so nervous, in fact, that she had a backup plan: if he didn’t seem interested, she was fully prepared to play it off as a “networking thing.” (Luckily, that plan was never needed.) For our first date, we both showed up 15 minutes early, each secretly determined to get the best table — a small but telling sign of what was to come. From the moment we sat down, the chemistry was instant. Conversation flowed effortlessly, time disappeared, and by the end of the night it already felt like something special had begun. Our second date was at Matt’s house, where he proudly gave Samantha the grand tour — conveniently skipping the garage. She knew better. Insisting on seeing his car, she revealed a side of herself he didn’t see coming: a genuine love for cars, every bit as strong as his own. Between our shared passion for music, cars, and all things Bend, we fell into an easy rhythm — one that never stopped. We kept hanging out, kept choosing each other, and kept building a life that felt both exciting and deeply familiar. Five years later, we’re still inseparable — and now we get to call each other the love of our lives.

Matt and I have a beautiful home full of wonderful things already so we ask that if you want to get us something that you please contribute to our honeymoon fund. Thank you.
The weather is typically warm during the day and will cool off at night. Average high's are about 75 and lows are around 45, however, you never know in Central Oregon as this time last year (2025) it was in the 90's.
The important question! Yes, there will be a dinner provided and an open bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. There will be gluten-free and dairy free options for dinner and dessert, however, please let us know if you have any serious food allergies so we can ensure to accommodate!
Our celebration will be semi-formal. We kindly ask guests to dress in polished attire—think cocktail dresses, suits, collared shirts, and dressy separates. While it won’t be a black-tie event, we’d love for you to dress to impress. The bride will be in traditional white. The ceremony and reception will take place on a grassy lawn. If you plan to wear heels, consider bringing a pair of flats for comfort later in the evening - especially for dancing! As Central Oregon temperatures can vary quite a bit, especially in the evening, we recommend bringing an extra warm layer to stay comfortable.
Please arrive before 4:00 PM as that is when the ceremony begins. You'll want time for parking and getting settled. There will be welcome drinks starting at 3:30 PM.
They are on the same property. The ceremony is in the backyard of the house. When you arrive you will go to the left around the house to the back. The reception is in a finished barn on the right side of the house.
There is a long driveway up to the residence, so if your companion is wearing heels it will be ideal to drop them off at the bottom of the hill by the pond and then drive to the very top of the driveway to park. Keep driving up until you see a very large flat area for parking. There will also be a golf-cart shuttle you can take back down after parking as the hill is steep.
Possibly - more on that to come. Uber or Lyft is available though it may cost a bit more than usual as it is a ways away from Bend. Please ask us if you would like to carpool and we will hook you up with someone you probably already know that intends to drive.
Feel free to reach out to Matt or Samantha, text is preferred.
