Recommendations

PRICE RANGE FOR TICKETS FROM MINNESOTA TO BUENOS AIRES ARG PER PERSON ROUND TRIP $1000 to $1300 AIRPORTS Ezeiza International Airport (EZE): Most U.S. flights arrive here. From Buenos Aires, guests can take a domestic flight to Sauce Viejo Airport (SFN) or travel by bus/car to Santa Fe (recommended). Entry Requirements: U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourism. Passport must be valid until six months after the beginning of the stay. ACCOMMODATION Santa Fe: Apartments are usually cheaper (around $50 per night for 2 people) than hotels (around $110 per night for 2 people). We recommend staying around downtown area. If you are planning to stay in Buenos Aires: There isn't a big difference in prices between hotels and apartments (around $60 a night for two people). We recommend staying around: Downtown, Palermo o Recoleta. TRANSPORTATION Taxis and ride apps (Cabify/DiDi/Uber). Walking in central areas during daytime. (Recommended to be cautious in Buenos Aires) Bus MONEY AND PAYMENTS Credit cards and cash are accepted. Bring newer, clean $100 bills. Smaller bills are often accepted at worse rates. Best way to exchange: Authorized exchange offices / cuevas (locals can help you find them). WEATHER October is mid-spring in Santa Fe. The temperatures vary around: 60–80°F. Warm during the day, mild in the evenings. FOOD AND DRINKS Argentina is famous for asado (barbecue), empanadas, milanesas and Malbec wine. WHAT TO DO IN SANTA FE: A city full of scenic riverfront views, stroll along the Costanera waterfront, cross the historic Puente Colgante, enjoy a craft beer at Cervecería Santa Fe, or take a day trip to nearby Paraná. WHAT TO DO IN BUENOS AIRES Visit historic Plaza de Mayo and see the Casa Rosada, wander the cobblestone streets of San Telmo or the colorful houses of La Boca, visit the Obelisco and Teatro Colón.
