OUR LOVE STORIES

KIKI

Groom

I still remember the first time I saw Vivian back in secondary school. She was my sister’s close friend, always laughing and jovial. To me, she was part of the background of my teenage years—someone I noticed but never really got to know. If you had told me back then that she would one day mean the world to me, I wouldn’t have believed it. Years went by, and life carried us in different directions. Then one day, out of nowhere, she visited a mutual friend in my city. When we met again, it was like seeing her for the first time. She had grown into someone so remarkable—strong, vibrant, and endlessly fascinating. Her passion for life and the way she spoke about the things she loved drew me in. At first, I didn’t think much of it. I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but spending time with her felt natural, easy. We explored the city, shared stories, and somewhere along the way, I realized how much she had started to mean to me. Vivian wasn’t just kind and intelligent—she had a way of making everything feel brighter. Now, as I prepare to marry you, my Queen, I can’t help but think how favored I am. Vivian, you’ve filled my life with love and joy in ways I never thought possible. I’m grateful for every moment that brought us here, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next.

VIVI

Bride

We first crossed paths in secondary school, where Kiki was always making everyone laugh effortlessly. I was close to his sister, Lamy, so I saw him often but as Lamy’s funny and carefree brother. Years passed, and while life took us on different paths, Lamy and I stayed in touch. In early 2021, a mutual friend came home and convinced me to visit. I hesitated at first, but I eventually went, not realizing that visit would change everything. Seeing Kiki again after so many years felt good and in the BEST way. He wasn’t just the funny boy I remembered (though he still had his jokes); he was thoughtful, kind, and full of warmth. My feelings for him grew gradually, without me even realizing it. It all came together on his mom’s birthday. We were gathered for a surprise, and as he walked his mom inside, his sister exclaimed, “My brother is a fine boy!” Curious, I peeked through the window and, in that moment, I was sold. It wasn’t just his looks that captivated me. It was the way he cared for his mom and those around him. Beneath his tough exterior was a tender side that I couldn’t ignore. Over time, I saw those walls around him soften even more, and I like to think I played a part in that—what I call the “Vivi effect.” Kiki has become my partner, my rock, and my guide in faith. He inspires me to grow, love deeply, and trust in the journey we’re building together. I feel blessed to be loved by him, and I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for us in this next chapter.
