In the fall of 2017, we embarked on an aircraft to spend the next three months experiencing new cultures, exploring exciting locations across Europe, and studying architecture. Even though we'd been in the same entering class of 2014, it was during this small group trip abroad that we bonded over our love of exploration and travel, spending time outdoors, video games, and unique architectural details. There was also this pretty large and interesting door that we both claim as our discovery and tease each other about to this day. After a couple of months exploring the beautiful cities, taking in the never-ending landscapes, and trying the local cuisines, we ventured on a new journey side-by-side. Our first date was at a local tattoo parlor in Germany, followed by dinner and a showing of the “It” remake. You could say we are a little unconventional, and we've been through a lot together ever since. We moved in together, became pet parents, continued traveling and exploring amazing places, and the grueling task of achieving our Masters in Architecture. In the fall of 2023, we took a long weekend away in the White Mountains of New Hampshire to disconnect a little and be present with each other. On October 7, 2023, after a rainy hike up to a secluded waterfall, Ashton took the leap and proposed, to which Vivian said yes! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all as we endeavor on a new journey together as husband and wife.
