They say the best couples start out as friends, and that's exactly how it was for us. We met at work and hit it off pretty quickly -- as friends, of course. Despite our constant flirting, texting, and note-passing, I was determined to completely ignore what was going on because I did not want to date anybody at work. But Vinny was very persistent. A few weeks go by and Vinny asks me out on a date. My plan? Go out for coffee, have a good time, and let him down easy. Thankfully nothing went as planned. One date turned into three, which turned into six, and a couple years later, here we are planning our wedding and building our lives together. We're so glad we gave those "friendly" dates a chance. Turns out, sometimes the greatest blessings in life come from the most unlikely places.
