Yulia Kuznetsov

Yulia is the oldest of the Kuznetsov sisters. She is incredibly creative and has more talents than anyone can count. She has helped immensely with the planning and decorating of now all three sisters' weddings. She has a heart of gold, loves deeply, and is loved by anyone that gets to meet her (seriously, she makes friends everywhere she goes)! Yulia does it all and doesn’t skip a beat when it comes to serving others. Adam and Vicki are so appreciative of her support during wedding planning. Because of Yulia, we are not getting married under a bridge! #nobridges

Irina Pinkerton

Bridesmaid

Irina is the second oldest sister of Vicki. She was the sister Vicki was closest to growing up. Irina would show her the ropes, challenge her, and was quick to edit papers or answer any and all education and job-related questions. She has the biggest heart for her people, is a prayer warrior, a cheerleader to Vicki and gets her out of her comfort zone. Her eye for fashion and design have been a huge help in all things wedding.

Lilia Jerkins

Bridesmaid

Lilia is the sister of Vicki. Because they were closest in age, they shared a room growing up which could be a challenge at times. With time and through the ups and downs of life, they have only grown closer not only as sisters but as friends. Like with all her older sisters, Vicki looks up to Lilia and her Christ-like love; she knows that she will always be right there by her side and only has her best interest in mind. She has been alongside Adam and Vicki throughout the wedding planning process, Vicki and Adam are very thankful for her kindness, support and guidance.

Shelby Barnes

Bridesmaid

Shelby is a long time friend of Vicki's from Western Carolina University. She has been invaluable in shaping Vicki in college and beyond. Separated for a time while Shelby was on The World Race, Vicki then moved for CRNA school but once she moved back to Asheville, it was time for Shelby to move to North Augusta. They like to say that the world just can’t handle these two friends living in the same place at the same time! Despite the distance, Shelby and Vicki have grown even tighter throughout the years through small groups, shared friend groups, voice memos and many coffee dates. Fun fact, Shelby put it in Adams ear that there was a Vicki out there he should meet and Glenn would continue to ask Vicki “what about Adam?” Despite their constant meddling, it all worked out!

Marc Outlaw

Best Man

Marc is the long-term best friend of Adam. They knew each other long before they can even remember. Their bond runs deep as they went to all the same K-12 schools and then off to the same college, Clemson Univeristy! They even had several classes together, since both are engineers! Marc has always been the voice of reason when Adam and Glenn get "bright ideas" for things that were not so well thought out. Because of this, you can always count on Marc to be logical and make insightful comments on all topics. Despite Adam's decision to move across the country for a time, they continued to keep in touch and plan trips together. Adam credits much of who he is to how Marc has shaped him through friendship.

Glenn Barnes

Best Man

Glenn is a long-term friend of Adam's. Being sometimes discribed as a brother of Adam's (despite the fact neither has a brother), the two grew up just a few houses from each other. They would climb trees and play in the forest behind their houses but could not seem to stay out of trouble when together. They went to the same K-12 schools, and yes, the same college, Clemson University! Although they lived far from each other after college, they continued to see each other as often as possible and plan fun trips. Adam has been shaped by his influence and has grown so much because of him. Despite Glenn meddling in the early parts of the courting, Adam and Vicki were able to deepen their relationship and get married!

Jarrod Gogolski

Groomsman

Jarrod is a graduate school friend of Adam's. They both studied under the same advisor during their PhD! Being a few years ahead, Jarrod was able to answer any and all questions Adam had about research and beyond. Though much of that time centered around all things schooling, they found time to enjoy together outside that setting by playing board games and hiking around picturesque Colorado. Part peer, part mentor, part role model, Jarrod helped Adam immensely when research progress stalled. Encouraging him through the realities of research helped Adam keep his head on straight and finish out his degree. Adam is so appreciative of the friendship they built through school!

Benjamin Phifer

Groomsman

Ben is a long-time friend of Adam's. Despite going to the same K-12 schools, they didn't really get to know each other until college (those grade levels really get in the way). While at Clemson, they built their friendship into something long-lasting. Adam and Ben lived in Washington state for several years, a few hours apart, while working towards their PhDs! Their connection really thrived through Covid where they both were facing challenges. Through many video calls and several hiking excursions, they were able to keep each other on track and encourage each other to push through research challenges. Though they have both finished school, they are still are enjoying the great outdoors together!
