Airports, car rentals & hotel options for our out-of- towner guests! Option I: Our beautiful wedding planner, Elena, will help you get the best hotels & rates around the area! If you're interested, please let us know in advance. Option II: Explore Airbnb properties with 2 or more bedrooms and split costs with friends and family! They also have apartments for those who will stay longer, but those will be a separate price. First come first served basis and will need to know well in advance. Malpesa Airport has an Express train that will take you directly to Milano Centrale train station (~50min). Milano Centrale will take you to Desenzano del Garda (~1hr - 1hr30min depending on type of train). Some car rentals are also available in Desenzano (Avis/Budget) but are harder to get. *If you're able to make it to Desenzano we can organize a pick up!

- Tolls will be required along the highways. Make sure you have some cash/card on hand (~€20) - Larger family / friend parties might consider getting together and renting a bigger van instead of individual cars. - If multiple parties arrive at the same time/location we can organize transportation to hotels but you will still need transportation to go from one location to the other.

IDL

Check with your car rental agency as this is not always required. You can drive in Italy with a valid US driver's license, but Italian law requires you to also carry an International Driving Permit (IDP) (or an official translation of your license) in addition to your license. The IDP serves as a multi-language translation of your US license and can be obtained from the American Automobile Association (AAA) or online.
