We're getting close now! Please reach out to Sam and Vanessa with any questions. And please carpool! Parking on the butte will be tight.
The theme is layers :) You Seriously it'll be hot in the day and below 40 and windy at night. BOOTS are best. The site is quite dusty. Blue will be our theme color.
We will have a restroom trailer on site. We will also have a handwashing station setup and make sure there is plenty of drinking water.
There will be a snack table before the ceremony and after the ceremony we will have a taco bar catered by our local Mexican market Tortilleria Reyes that will feature a couple of meats and a vegetarian options. If you're staying the night on the butte then you can help yourself to a breakfast feast Sunday morning. There will be one keg of an IPA and another of a lager. Besides that we will have one premade cocktail, bottles of wine, and then a smaller amount of hard seltzers and NA beers as well as soda and seltzer waters. If there's something else you want, please bring it! We're not currently planning on having a bar.
No fear! Between our family and friends we have so much extra camping gear we can get you and your crew exactly what you need. Thought you'd never ask! If you're a local, we could really use a little help crowdsourcing some of the basics to pull this off without having buy things that we'll only use once. We are planning on renting a limited number of tables, chairs and hiring some help to get it all setup and taken down so it won't be entirely DIY. We may rent event tents and propane heaters, but we're not sure rental companies will come out to where the party is for anything they are required to setup. Are you a local with a popup tent canopy or big table? How about camping stoves and water jugs. #10 seven gallon water jugs would give us plenty of water. #5 two burner propane stoves with fry pans would be enough for everybody to cook breakfast on Sunday morning. Any kind of solar or battery lights could help light the way to the bathroom or add sparkle around the dance floor. Copy and paste the link below and make sure you're on the GOT CAMPING STUFF? page on the google spreadsheet to see what else we are looking for. Thanks for taking a look! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J1oExxT2F8I0SLRm5ieK9Fij4ObgtA_hGm_SoR_wAxQ/edit#gid=0
I think I will rent a 15 passenger van and hire a driver to shuttle folks from Sisters up to the butte and back down, possibly having them do 2 trips each way. Click on the spreadsheet below and put your name down if you'd like a spot! Catch a ride to the party or offer a ride by copying and pasting the link to the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J1oExxT2F8I0SLRm5ieK9Fij4ObgtA_hGm_SoR_wAxQ/edit#gid=1058969342
This wedding will not stop for rain or smoke! We will try to have some event tents setup so that we are ready for anything.
