Jake and I had a very small and intimate ceremony in Sri Lanka, to celebrate our commitment to each other. We then registered our marriage officially in the registry office in Bristol (UK) - the city where we met and began living together! 金杰和我在斯里蘭卡舉行了一個小型而親密的儀式，慶祝我們對彼此的承諾。之後，我們在英國布里斯托爾 (Bristol) 的註冊處正式註冊結婚 - 那是我們相遇並開始同居的城市！ Even though we are already married, Jake and I have wanted to host some sort of get-together with friends and family. Now that we have relocated to Taiwan from the UK it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally have a celebration! 儘管我們已經結婚，金杰和我還是希望能與親朋好友舉辦一些聚會。現在我們已經從英國搬到台灣，這似乎是一個完美的機會來慶祝！歸寧宴, or the "Homecoming Banquet" is a traditional Taiwanese banquet that takes place after a couple's wedding, typically hosted by the bride's family. It’s a chance for relatives and friends who couldn’t attend the wedding ceremony to come together, celebrate the couple, and welcome them back home. We are thrilled to have you join us for this special celebration!

Venue and Travel information

Our venue is in Tuku, Yunlin, due to limited accommodation in the area we recommend that our overseas guests stay in Taipei and treat this as a day trip down to Yunlin. Please find the exact venue address some travel information below. 我們的會場在雲林土庫。請在下方找到確切的場地地址和一些旅遊資訊： Jin Shang Qing Seafood Restaurant No. 489 號, Linsen Rd, Tuku Township, Yunlin County, 633 金尚青海鮮餐廳雲林縣土庫鎮林森路489號 Tuku, Taiwan 633 By Bus: We are organizing a bus from Taipei to our venue, if you would like a seat on it please indicate it on the RSVP form! 巴士：我們將安排一輛巴士從台北到我們的會場，如果您想要一個座位，請在 RSVP 表格上註明！ By Car: If you are driving from Taipei, it takes roughly 3 hours to get to Tuku. *There is plenty of parking available at the venue for guests who are driving down. 汽車：如果您從台北開車，大約需要 3 個小時到達土庫。*開車來的賓客，會場有充足的停車位。 By High-Speed Rail (HSR): Take the HSR from Taipei to Yunlin, then take a taxi to Tuku (around 15 minutes). 高速鐵路 (HSR)：從台北搭高鐵到雲林站，再搭計程車到土庫（約15分鐘）。

Bus information

For those taking the bus to Yunlin: Please meet at Exit 6 of Zhongshan MRT Station at 7:20 AM on April 19. Welcome to Taiwan

For our overseas guests: I've written some important things to keep in mind below... Welcome to Taiwan! Earthquakes: Taiwan occasionally experiences small earthquakes. Most are mild, but it’s good to be aware. In case of an earthquake, stay calm. Weather: In April the weather can turn a bit rainy so we recommend bringing an umbrella or rain jacket with you. Check the forecast before you travel! Cash-Based Economy: Many small businesses, night markets, and local shops only accept cash. ATMs are widely available, but it’s best to always carry some cash with you. Transportation: Taipei has an excellent public transport system. You can use the MRT and buses easily as they appear on google maps and have English signs. Uber is also available here. SIM Cards & WiFi: Prepaid SIM cards and pocket WiFi are available at the airport when you land. There tends to be free public WiFi at most major MRT stations in Taipei as well.

Things to Do in Taipei

If you are staying in Taipei for a few days, I've listed a couple ideas of things to do below :) Taipei 101: Has a beautiful skyline view and used to be one of the world's tallest buildings. Shilin Night Market: A famous night market, near where I work! Filled with plenty of classic Taiwanese street food like stinky tofu, bubble tea, oyster omelets and more. Elephant Mountain: A short hike with stunning views of the city. National Palace Museum: Home to one of the largest collections of Chinese artifacts. Beitou Hot Springs: A relaxing hot spring area just outside the city. Ximending: A well-known shopping district with trendy shops, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment. "Summer Smart" - A touch of formality, but without losing comfort in the April weather. Light cottons/linens are recommended, being both stylish and breezy. *This is not a strict dress code, it is purely advisory - your comfort is key! 「Summer Smart」- 在四月的天氣裡，帶點正式感，但又不失舒適。建議穿著輕薄的棉質/針織品，既時尚又透氣。 *這不是嚴格的著裝要求，純粹是建議 - 您的舒適度是關鍵！ Some ideas for the ladies: Sundresses, (Summery/airy) blouses, Linens or similar light trousers, Summer long skirts, flats, trainers, sandals 女士：日光裙、（夏季/仙氣）襯衫、亞麻紗或類似的輕質褲子、夏季長裙、平底鞋、運動鞋、涼鞋 And for the gents: Collared shirt (long or short), Trousers (linen or cotton recommended, denim discouraged), Covered shoes (trainers, leather shoes, loafers etc.) 男士：有領襯衫 (長或短)、褲子 (建議穿亞麻或棉質褲子，不鼓勵穿牛仔褲)、套鞋 (運動鞋、皮鞋、懶人鞋等) If susceptible to the cold (or air conditioning) please bring an extra layer; light blazers, cardigans & shawls. 如果容易受寒（或空調），請多帶一層衣服；輕薄的外套、開襟衫和披肩。
