We met online. But our first interaction, well that was something for the history books, definitely a first for the two of us. For those familiar with the Wenatchee Loop Trail, our first meeting was at the Linden Boat House, or so I thought. I arrived at the designated time but no Trisha to be found. Walked back to the parking lot, nope nobody there that looked like her and then back down the path to the boat house. I called her, to see if she was running late or happen to get cold feet. She answered and said I'm down by the boat house. Umph, was my response in my head, how could I have missed her? Is what I was pondering as I strolled back down, anticipation building...Standing between the boat house and river, looking in all directions around me, I still didn't see her. She said, "Look Up!" And there she was, my future bride, up in a tree checking me out... ;-)

On a sunny but cool Sunday afternoon in January, Tyler wanted to go for a walk on the loop trail, but I wasn't dressed for it. And if you know me, unless I'm layered up, even in June I'm going to be cold. But, he coaxed me out nonetheless. I was shivering and was ready to be done with the walk in short order. He sensed this very quickly, so we headed back to the car. But, he detoured the path to the parking lot because he wanted to go down to the floating dock near the Linden boat house. The water was low, "Great, let's go!" FINALLY, we are heading back to the car, no more stops left!! But as we passed the tree I was perched in a few years back, I found Tyler kneeling behind me with a ring in hand...
