Tina and Kat have been friends since their first day of Freshman orientation at MTSU. Since that day, Tina has helped Kat navigate all the ups and downs that life has thrown. Kat could not navigate this world without Tina and would like to give her sincerest gratitude to her for being by her side on this day. "Que Sera, Sera."
Groomsman
Justin and Tyler have known one another since Tyler's birth, which makes sense as Justin is Tyler's brother! Justin has always been someone that Tyler has looked up to and has known that he can lean on. Tyler would like to thank Justin for all of the love and guidance that he has provided to him throughout his life and for standing by his side on this day.
Bridesmaid
Allyson and Kat have known one another since shortly after Allyson's birth, as Allyson is Kat's cousin! Allyson and Kat have made countless memories throughout their life together - from running around their grandparents' house as children to celebrating holidays with the entire ever-growing family as adults. While Allyson stands much shorter than Kat, she has always been a major support in Kat's life. Kat would like to thank Allyson for her love, friendship, and support throughout their lives and on this day.
Groomsman
While Johnny is Tyler's brother-in-law, Tyler looks at him more as a brother. Johnny has been in Tyler's life for over thirty years and has always been a pillar of encouragement, friendship, and brotherhood. If you know Tyler and Johnny, you know being around them together will bring forth much laughter and excitement. Tyler would like to thank Johnny for helping him through all situations in life and for being by his side on this day.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay (Tyler's sister) and Kat first met when Tyler's family came to visit him from Illinois. On one of the first nights of that weekend, Lindsay and Kat stayed up until the wee hours of the morning discussing (ie mostly crying and laughing over) Tyler's family (especially all of the beloved dogs), their history, and Lindsay's excitement for Tyler's future. Kat would like to extend her gratitude towards Lindsay for helping shape the man Tyler has become and that Kat loves, as well as standing by her side as she takes her beloved little brother's hand in marriage.
Groomsman
Riley is one of Tyler's many beloved nephews, and also a dear friend to him. If you ask Tyler about Riley, he will often go on tangents about their adventures together in hiking, adventuring, and enjoying all of the outdoorsy things. Tyler admires the man that Riley has come to be and will continue to grow in to. Tyler would like to thank Riley for consistently being a positive influence in his and his son's lives, and standing by him on this day.
Bridesmaid
Where Kat and Lauren first met is now questionable as it was well over 20 years ago, however since then the "where" of their friendship has been "everywhere." Lauren and Kat have been friends since senior year of high school and started off with quoting songs and lines from comedies. Since then, Lauren and Kat have both moved all over the United States (and for Lauren, all over the world!) but their friendship has remained strong. Kat would like to thank Lauren for all of the laughter, music sharing, check-in phone calls, inside jokes, and love throughout their years together as well as for standing by her side on this day.
Groomswoman
Tyler and Amy have known each other since Tyler was in the eighth grade, so well over half of their lifetime! If you ever saw Tyler and Devin together, you probably knew that Amy was not far off to complete their trio. Being around Tyler and Amy together means being around laughter, excitement, and good times. Tyler would like to thank Amy for her lifelong friendship and laughter as well as standing by him on this day.
Bridesmaid
Krystine and Kat first met during Kat's interview for the VA Hospital. Once Kat began her work at the VA, both she and Krystine disclosed to one another that after this interview they both thought "I want to be friends with this girl!" That is exactly what happened. Krystine and her husband, Chris, have quickly become close friends to both Tyler and Kat since moving to the Roanoke area. Kat would like to thank Krystine for her care, support, and opportunities to love on her pets throughout their growing friendship and for standing by her on this day.
Dressy-casual. We want you to be comfortable, but also want you to feel fancy!
We have no idea. Its Virginia in fall - it can be hot or cold. Our recommendation is to bring a jacket that you can easily remove if you become warm.
Tyler and Kat fell in love with "Moe's Original BBQ" as they were searching for adequate catering. Moe's will be serving brisket, pulled chicken, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese alongside bread options. Before our meal, there will be finger foods served by our venue. We have done our best to let our venue and caterer know about known food allergies; however, if you have any concerns, please let Tyler and Kat know.
While we want to have a good time, our venue is also located off of winding and steep roads through the mountains. We will be providing limited beer and wine options for the safety of ourselves as well as friends and family. Please drink responsibly so we can continue to build memories after today.
We ask that you please keep your phones on silent and put away during our ceremony. We have a photographer that will be able to take all of the photos for you!
