To start things off, Tyler simply messaged me on Instagram saying how beautiful I was (cliché right?) When Tyler messaged me, neither one of us had even heard of the other before. After texting and facetiming for a couple of weeks, we met each other for the first time at Gaston College. When he hopped out of his truck and saw me, the first words that came out of his mouth were "man, there's bird crap on my truck". I thought to myself, lord what did I get myself into. We talked for what seemed like forever before I had to head to my class. Before leaving, he hugged me and I knew at that moment, that there was something different about this boy. I just felt safe and secure in his arms. Fast forward a couple of weeks, Tyler met my parents. We all met at Cracker Barrel to eat dinner. I had not shown my mom or dad a picture of him, so seeing him at the restaurant, was the very first time they would see him. We get to the restaurant and are waiting for Tyler to get there. He walks through the doors and I tell my mom "there he is" as I pointed to him. She then says "there is no way that boy is 18, that's a grown man". If you know Tyler, you know he looks much older than he is. After checking his ID to really make sure he was 18, we all sat down to eat. Tyler immediately clicked with my parents, which attracted me to him even more. We ate and then I went with him to meet his mom, who made me feel like her own from the moment we met. I knew after that, that he was the one for me. Fast forward 4 years and we cant imagine life without each other!
