On January 2nd 2026 we went to the closest courthouse to obtain our marriage license, then went to Lora’s parents home to complete a short ceremony. Present were Lora’s parents Mike & Fiona, and our officiant and dear friend Kaitlyn. We were joined on Zoom by Troy’s parents Karri and John, Troy's sister Tatum, Troy’s brother Tanner, Lora’s sisters Katie and Jess, and our friends that are our family Delaney and Michal. Troy and Lora each said a few sentiments of love, and each party signed the marriage license which is returned to the courthouse to be processed. Troy and I have been together for 10 years, and though we had talked about marriage often we did not have any set plans. Lora has been fortunate to go back to Scotland 3 times in 2025 to visit her beloved grandpa Jim (grampy). Upon Lora’s most recent return from Scotland on new year's eve, we decided we could not wait any longer and signed up for the first available marriage appointment at the courthouse. We are so loved and fortunate that our closest family were able to join us both in person and virtually, and now we would like to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends, family and community we love so whole heartedly.
