THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING. This is a pre-wedding dinner in the Philippines that is held for the bride. It is a Spanish phrase that translates to “farewell to singlehood”. The matron of honour and man of honour will be organising this. Details TBA.

We have an island family in the Siargao who has a surfing school called Agudo surf, which we would recommend if you fancy some surfing. A lesson would cost £10-£12/hour including a longboard (or a shortboard, if you’re a pro!) plus a boat ride fee of £2 - £3 to the surfing spot depending on the tides.
We’re working on organizing a 24-person capacity pump boat for the island tour, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, costing around £20 per person (excluding food). There are also smaller boats offering island tours, and we can arrange food on an island for £16 per person (excluding food). If we don’t have 24 people, we’ll go with the smaller boat option.
(We’ve done quite a few tours ourselves. If there are a few of you, it’s easy to hire a van and driver to take you there.) For more details, check out the available attractions on the linked website.
SEMI-FORMAL ATTIRE Flowy beach dresses and linen shirts—please be mindful of the elements. We kindly encourage our favorite people to dress in our color palette. Parts of the day will be outdoors by the beach, so choose footwear accordingly.
While we adore little ones, we’re unable to accommodate children. Only immediate family’s children will be in attendance.
Our wedding venue has limited capacity, but there are plenty of local accommodation options nearby. Prices vary based on preference, and all are close enough to take a TukTuk on the big day. For nearby resort details:
Local flights can be booked at http://www.cebupacificair.com (Cebu → Siargao, ~1h 5m). Flights are generally affordable (£25–£90), with promo fares popping up throughout the year. Upon arrival at Sayak Airport in Siargao, tourist vans are available outside for P300 per person, with a 40–50 minute transfer to your resort. If you prefer a pre-booked van, let us know your flight details and accommodation at least one month before the wedding, and we’ll arrange it for you.
For those not staying at the wedding venue, TukTuks are readily available to get you around. Fares are P30 per person during the day and P50 per person at night. A simple rule—if you can see the sun, it’s daytime; if not, it’s night! 🌅 The sun sets around 5:00 PM.
The sun sets early here, so island life really kicks off with the sunrise. To make the most of your day, we recommend being up and about by 8-9 AM to fully experience everything. A quick nap around 2 PM for an hour or two will recharge you, then you’re ready to dive into the nightlife. Every night, there’s a different bar serving as the local nightclub. Since the Philippines was once colonized by the Spanish, San Miguel dominates the beer scene. For something stronger, try Red Horse, a local favorite with a crazy 6.9% ABV. More moderate options are also available. A beer costs around P150 (£2).
