Important Updates!
Our dear loved ones, I am sure you have all heard the news about Hurricane Helene and the devastation it has caused in Asheville, NC, where Tori’s parents live. We are happy to report they are safe and healthy. However, due to the catastrophic damage they will not be able to get to Oregon for the wedding on Saturday. On brand with the two of us, the day is becoming even more nontraditional than we anticipated! With a very heavy heart we have decided that we cannot proceed with a ceremony without John and Karin. But we are still down to celebrate! Meaning the only thing changing would be no aisle, but we Will say some vows and be dressed for a wedding, Everything else is still on! There will be amazing food, even better beverages, great music for all the dancing and games. We hope to still see you all there! If this changes your plans, please update your RSVP. We are so sorry for the last minute change of plans and appreciate each and every one of you so much!! 💕K&T
On July 29, 2018, both Tori and Kayla were invited to Trivia at a local bar. They became fast friends and then roommates only a few months later. In the end of 2019, after doing everything together, it was apparent that they were more than “just friends”. By mustering up all her courage, Tori finally asked Kayla to be her first (and last) girlfriend. Life together has only flourished through a global pandemic, new jobs, 3 moves, additional fur babies and dealing with all the ups and downs of any relationship. After 3 years of dating, adventuring and just enjoying life, they made it even more official. After a hike, Tori sent Kayla on a scavenger hunt, ultimately ending with a bunch of surprises and tears; and of course a “yes!” A few weeks later, Kayla put together a beautiful weekend in Washington filled with fun and laughter. While this wasn’t the first time Kayla fake proposed to Tori, she finally swapped the joke for a diamond. Since then, they have been enjoying a long engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone in October.

Casual
Welcome to Portland! Or shall we say the suburbs. We can’t wait to introduce our extended family and close friends, in a fun pub setting. There is a full bar and a food truck. There’s also a fire pit, Ping pong table, shuffleboard and some other games and plus outdoor area. Since there is no wedding party, there is no need for a rehearsal dinner, instead this is going to be more of a casual meet and greet.
4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Please wear anything that you feel amazing in, try and make it colorful! We would love to see our guests in florals, patterns and pastels. We understand not everyone has colors in their wardrobe; if that is the case, just wear something you feel like a million bucks in! That can be cocktail, semi-formal, boho, semi-casual, anything really, just maybe not a wedding dress.
We are so excited this day is finally near! To get to share it with each and every one of you is beyond amazing. Prepare to be shocked with a very non-traditional wedding that totally fits us. Picture: backyard wedding, all the flora and fauna, unpaved walkways, parking in a neighborhood, fire pits, games, and prepared for any unexpected weather October may throw our way. Should be sunny and 72°! We will have blankets, but it could get down to 50°!
Hotel
This is only about 15 mins away from the venue and where we will be staying the night of the wedding💕

South Park blocks are near PSU, the concert hall, and the art museum. It’s about 10-20 blocks of greenery downtown that has a weekend farmers market.
This is the park where Tori used to teach summer camp. It’s a Stunning 200+ acres of easy walking trails. If you want to see big trees, deer, slugs, owls and many other creatures and plants while you’re here, you’ll want to go here!
To get a real taste of Portland, visit the Market! It’s open Saturday and Sunday, at the downtown waterfront. Great place for a handmade gift or souvenir to take back with you. There is also the Portland State farmers markets on the weekend downtown on the other end of the city.
If you enjoy getting lost, every fall, Sauvie Island opens up all their pumpkin patches and some giant corn mazes. There are some on the west side and south too.
A big hilly park, rose garden, and the Oregon Zoo. Close by to the Arboretum and Pittock Mansion with views of the city. Another good nature hike near here is Forest Park.
Flat hiking trails at the entrance to the Gorge. Walk all the way to the Columbia River in this park with views of Mt.Hood and friendly dogs everywhere. We frequent here every month at least, for our girl Murph, and we never have a dull time.
Hikes to waterfalls and a number of scenic pullouts along this road through the Columbia River Gorge. Breathtaking vast views if you make it up to the Vista House.
A cozy train ride through the orchards near Mt. Hood
Yes, where the Movie Halloweentown was filmed! This is a beautiful drive about an hour north and in October it looks a little different from the rest of the year.
The cliffs and vast beaches of the Oregon coast is a sight to see if you never have, or even if you have. If you’re visiting and renting a car, definitely make a day trip over to the coast for a breathtaking experience of mountains and waterfalls meeting beaches. Astoria is historic and right at the mouth of the Columbia. Seaside is small and walkable, with drivable beaches nearby, and Oswald west state park is unlike anything else you’ll see from the forest to the tide pools. Warning for all the Floridians though, this is not a bathing suit-wearing kind of beach. Don’t learn the hard way, like Tori. Bring a jacket and wear closed shoes and ENJOY!
Bowling, bar, arcade, VR, and an AMAZING laser tag arena. One of the many stops on our 24th Birthday bar hop.
If you’re looking to shop til you drop, Tanasbourne is the place to go. It has all the food and drink you may want out in the suburbs. Or along Cedar Hills, just south of I26, another good area for food and drinks.
Sunday, October 6, 2024: Portland Timbers vs FC Dallas Men’s soccer game @Providence Park (Stadium) Downtown parking, great idea to take the Max rail in to town. It’s a fun time, the crowd is usually very hyped.
Hard at work on these... Talk soon.

Bride
A tree-hugging Florida-Citrus that randomly rolled over to Oregon looking for a new enrichment in life. Loves being outside with Murphy(dog), not wearing clothes unless necessary, creating meals with all the ingredients, any kind of art activity, and getting new plant babies, even when I’m told we have too many. Currently a part-time stay at home mom, or a “nanny” as you call it, to the cutest little human ever! Trying to use my ADHD as a superpower. Also fulfilling my wifely duties and commonly referred to as “the best housewife” by Kayla
Bride
A stereotypical nerdy pacific northwesterner who stumbled upon a lost Floridian in a dive bar. Loves watching an obscure documentary or trash tv with her herd of cats. Rarely will you catch her without socks on. When she is not trying to keep up with Tori, you can probably find her cleaning something or deep diving into a new hobby that will last about a month. Since the animals refuse to get jobs to support Kayla and Tori’s lifestyle, Kayla spends 40 hours of her week solving mysteries at the Oregon State Crime Lab and pondering what to make for dinner.
