Flight
Flight to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". You can take the metro/subway a few stops or a taxi (about $60 Euro's) to the ferry port in Piraeus.
Travel Note
Book your ferry below. You'll either take a "fast" ferry or a slow ferry. Fast is 2 hours, slow is 4 hours. Ferry's only run a few times a day so be sure to factor in flights around certain Ferry Schedules (you may even want to spend a night or 2 in Athens depending on when you arrive)
Rental Car
There are only 6 Taxi's on the island so if you want to get around freely we recommend renting a car, at least for a couple days. The hotels we recommend are walkable areas (with the exception of Nature Serifos & Perma). This is a general list of rental car places on the island. If you want to explore the island outside of the wedding fun, we highly recommend renting a car. For automatic cars, reserve EARLY. Manual cars are cheaper and more readily available. There is also a bus system which is pretty user friendly and connected to all the hotels we have recommended.
Hotel
This is a great stay (starting at $110 a night) walking distance from the ferry port and shops and tavernas and wedding events. Great hospitality and breakfast.

Mona is a perfect location to explore Athens on foot. We've stayed here and loved it! You feel like you've stepped back in time in Greece. Perfect view of the Acropolis at night if you want to see if from the comfort of their outdoor rooftop lounge. Very cool. Shila Hotel is the same owners and very cool too. Book early as their less pricer rooms book up fast. Also Coco-Mat Athens is in a cute area right outside the tourist zone but walkable to all of downtown. Coco-Mat hotel is your typical boutique hotel vibes. https://www.cocomatathens.com/ Dave Red Athens is a new hotel and only $50 a night. Perfect location to explore Athens right in downtown by all the the restaurants & flea markets etc: brownhotels.com
20 minute ferry ride from Serifos. Foodie heaven island & handmade pottery shops galore! Omega 8 & Cantina restaurants alone are worth the trip over to this island! Old Chora is increible and a must to walk around in. Stay near or on Platis Gialos beach if you can!
This island, hotel and beach is absolute heaven. The hotel is so cute and perfectly situated that you won't believe its only $100 a night. Multiple tavernas right by the hotel and off the beach. Old school style beach hotel and very clean and owner is lovely. You will not want to leave the area! You don't need a car really. There is a water taxi right outside, or taxi's and bus that picks up right by the hotel to go to the main town etc. The town (Chroa) is the absolute best we've been to so far. We know you'll fall in love with this island! It's a 4 hour ferry from Pireaus port, or 2 hours from Serifos.
Milos is close by and is one of the more popular/touristy islands right now. Skinopi Lodge is dreamy. Medusa & O Hamas restaurants are great. Sirocco restaurant where you pick your fish that cooks in the volcanic sand is the restaurant where we accidentally got engaged lol.
FerryHopper is a great Resource. You will be searching from Piraeus Port into Serifos. It is about 2 hours on "fast" (which we recommend). Make sure you have enough time to get to the ferry in respect to when your flight gets in
While you can get around with taxi's and the bus system, If you really want to explore the island freely, we would suggest renting a car. For the day of the wedding we will have shuttle pick ups near the port / hotels and will confirm shuttles for the end of the night once people confirm where they are staying.
Average cost of a round trip flight from the US is just below or around $1,000 though you can find flights for less if you're flexible with dates. Late summer/now is great time to book flights, as prices are on the lower end. April seems late, but prices tend go down slightly in April and early May.
