There will be a shuttle departing from the Aloft Austin Downtown promptly at 4 pm that will take guests to the venue at the Grand Lady

SoCo is a great spot for shopping, food, and general "keep Austin weird" vibes! Check out places like Joe's Coffee, Amy's Ice Cream, June's, Aba, and Neighborhood Sushi!
Zilker Metropolitan Park
If you want to spend some time outdoors, Zilker Park is a great place to do that! If you are looking for something a little more active you can hike the Barton Creek Greenbelt too.
Austin Rowing Club
Rent a kayak or stand up paddle board if you are coordinated enough and cruise around Lady Bird Lake! (weather permitting of course)
Statesman Bat Observation Center
For a more...unique experience, you can watch Austin's famous colony of bats fly out from under South Congress bridge at dusk! End of March is typically the beginning of bat season, because apparently thats a thing.

What should I wear?
Answer
While we understand you may want to show off that snappy new Hawaiian shirt or take your crocs out for a spin, we are kindly requesting formal attire for our wedding day (long dresses, preferably ankle length, for ladies and suits and ties for gentlemen).

What's the weather like in Austin in March?
Answer
Believe it or not, Texas isn't always in a heat wave! March in Austin should be a very comfortable springtime temperature averaging 75 degrees during the day.

Will transportation be provided?
Answer
Yes! There will be a bus between the hotel and the venue on the wedding day. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available to take you to and from the airport and anywhere outside of walking distance if you'd like to explore Austin a bit more. If you'd like you can also rent a car from the airport as well.

I am driving, will there be parking?
Answer
Yes! The Grand Lady has plenty of parking onsite. The hotel will have paid valet parking as well.
