On December 20th, 2024, Joe planned a surprise proposal for Shannon at Rockefeller Center. We hope you'll come bring this dream to life in Italy!

Join us at Castello Bevilacqua

We chose to get married in Italy to symbolize what we want to build in our future together: a rich life full of travel, art, history, good food, great friends and family, and plenty of joy. Castello Bevilacqua is a beautiful 14th century castle and a family business. We have a feeling you'll love it as much as we do!

Travel Recommendations

Flight

Fly into Milan or Venice

Venice Marco Polo airport is the closest major airport to our venue - 1 hour to Bevilacqua by train. You may find direct flights from the US East Coast; expect a layover if flying from the West Coast. Milan Malpensa airport is best for direct flights from most major US airports, but is farther from our venue. It's about two hours from Bevilacqua by train. Verona has a small regional airport less than an hour from Bevilacqua by train. This is a great choice if you plan to travel elsewhere in Europe before the wedding. You can also fly into any other Italian city and easily take the train system to Bevilacqua!

Train

Trainline

After flying into the airport of your choice, we recommend taking a train to reach Bevilacqua. Italy's train system is extensive, comfortable, clean, and easy to use! You can get around the country quickly without a car. You'll take a train from the airport to the city hub train station, then transfer onto a train to Bevilacqua. You may or may not need to transfer again depending on where you're coming from. We like to use the website Trainline to find our tickets - it scans all the major train companies. If you're unfamiliar with European train systems, check out this helpful video:

We recommend using the train network to get around without worrying about international driving laws! However, if you prefer your own car to explore off the beaten path, check out this resource for all you need to know:

Hotel

Bevilacqua

Bevilacqua, Veneto, Italy

We will have a hotel block available in Bevilacqua for our guests. We're still finalizing details with our coordinator - check back soon for more info! Immediate family will be able to stay in the Castle's 9 total rooms.

Travel Note

Exploring Italy

We hope you'll use our wedding as an excuse to explore Italy! It's one of the most beautiful countries in the world, in our humble opinion (not to mention the food)! There's a lifetime's worth of places to explore, but some of our favorites are: Venice (ride a gondola!), the Lakes (Garda is close by!), Rome (Trastevere is cool), Cinque Terre (beach town in the north, a lot like Amalfi), The Duomo in Milan, Florence (see naked David! (not the father of the groom))

RSVP

Please let us know whether you plan to attend our wedding in beautiful Bevilacqua, Italy! The wedding will be on Wednesday, May 19, with optional casual events the night before and morning after. A formal invitation will follow for those who indicate they plan to attend. We recognize a destination wedding is a commitment - if this is a journey you know you have to pass on, please RSVP no so we can invite other guests.

Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below.
If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
