Our engagement happened on a family trip to Ireland in September 2023, and it was nothing short of magical. On a stunning day when, for once, the rain held off, we made our way to the Slieve League cliffs, one of the most breathtaking spots on our journey. As we walked toward the overlook, George led me forward, and suddenly, he got down on one knee with the incredible view as the backdrop. It was a moment that took my breath away, and before I even realized what was happening, I heard George ask me to marry him. A few nearby tourists, who must have recognized the moment, cheered when I said “yes,” and I couldn’t help but feel completely overwhelmed with excitement. It felt surreal, standing there with butterflies in my stomach, in such a stunning, peaceful place. Afterward, we celebrated with my family, toasting with non-alcoholic champagne we picked up from some food trucks near the overlook. George even got a Paddy cap to commemorate the day. It was the perfect way to mark the beginning of this new chapter, surrounded by love, laughter, and the beauty of Ireland.

Bride
Sam and George first met at age 12 through mutual friends, and frequently ran into each other at the baseball fields. While George was on the field playing, Sam was behind the plate as an umpire—unaware that those early days would mark the start of something so special. Sam is an adventurer at heart, happiest when hiking a scenic trail, camping under the stars, or getting lost in a good book. Beyond her love for the outdoors, she shares George’s passion for music, video games, Star Wars, Marvel movies, and all things nerdy. Above all, Sam cherishes her bond with George—their friendship, love, and countless shared memories.
Groom
Over time, George and Sam’s paths continued to cross, and their connection grew stronger with each encounter. What started as a casual friendship eventually became something neither of them could have predicted. A lifelong sports enthusiast, George can talk stats, scores, and game highlights for hours. But when he’s not cheering on his favorite teams, he’s enjoying music, video games, Star Wars, Marvel movies, and all the nerdy interests he and Sam share. Through every game, movie marathon, and life adventure, George is grateful to have Sam by his side.
Maid of Honor
Sam and Jess met in middle school, but their close friendship didn’t truly blossom until late in high school. After graduation, they became inseparable—you could almost always find them together on weekends, often taking spontaneous trips to the Long Beach boardwalk. Some of their best memories were made sitting on a lifeguard stand, watching the sunrise after hours of laughter and deep conversations. Jess is the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—honest, loyal, and always ready to tell it like it is. Whether it’s offering advice, sharing a laugh, or simply being there, Sam knows she can always count on Jess.
Best Man

Jon’s offer to share his snack was the simple gesture that sparked a bond so strong, it has grown into a brotherhood. Over the years, they’ve shared countless memories, making it impossible to imagine one without the other. Athletic and full of heart, Jon is the kind of friend who’s always there to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. Along with his twin brother, Kevin, Kyle has spent countless hours watching sports, Dragon Ball Z, and trying to help George perfect his beer pong game. The three of them have shared many memorable moments, and Kyle and Kevin often joke that George is their “third twin.” A fellow Rangers fan, Kyle shares a love for sports and good times with George. With his easygoing personality and sense of humor, he’s always ready to enjoy life’s moments and share in the fun.
Bridesmaid
Shelby is George’s sister and a bridesmaid with a fiery personality that commands attention. Fiercely loyal to her friends and family, she’s always ready to stand up for what she believes in. While she might be a little blunt or outspoken, her boldness comes from a place of love and unwavering support. Shelby doesn’t just show up—she slays, and her strength, honesty, and deep care for those she holds close make her a force to be reckoned with. She’s someone you can always count on.
Groomsman
Jason is Sam’s brother and a friend of George. Whether he’s cracking jokes or diving into a new project, Jason’s playful spirit and creativity always bring a fun energy to any situation. Sam is grateful to have her brother by her side on this special day, and George is lucky to have him as part of the celebration.
Bridesmaid
Emma has been one of Sam’s closest friends for over ten years. Though they met during a tumultuous time in both of their lives, their shared experiences and growth have only strengthened their bond. Even though they may not talk every day (or even every week), Sam always knows that Emma will be there as a strong ally and advocate, offering wisdom and support when needed. Their friendship is a testament to the strength of their connection and the journey they’ve shared.
Groomsman
Chris and George first crossed paths as regulars at a local bar, where their mutual love for sports sparked a connection. While Chris’s personality can be a bit intense, it’s this drive and focus that fuels his passion for the things he cares about—especially sports. Chris and George are often found together at Yankee games, dissecting every play and enjoying the thrill of the game. Despite his more serious demeanor, Chris’s loyalty and friendship run deep, making him an irreplaceable part of George’s circle.
Bridesmaid
Avalon and Sam’s friendship began while they were both waitstaff at Left Coast Kitchen, where they immediately clicked and formed a close connection. When Avalon lived in Long Beach, the two would often meet up to walk the 4-mile boardwalk, rewarding themselves with ice cream from Marvel afterward. With her strong convictions and unwavering beliefs, Avalon is truly a force to be reckoned with. Sam has always admired Avalon’s unapologetic, bold approach to life.

Their similar sense of humor has made their friendship easy and full of laughs. Mike is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. His generosity and selflessness make him a friend you can always count on.

Created on top of what was once a landfill, this nature preserve is located on the south shore of Long Island. Fun fact 1: lawn maintenance equipment is too heavy for the structural integrity of this preserve, so to keep the grasses neat the park maintains a small group of goats. Fun Fact 2: on a clear day, you can see the skyline of Manhattan from the park’s highest point.
