Our proposal was so perfectly us, he had this whole plan.. but as we all know plans tend not to happen as expected. The day started out lovely but around lunch time we both got very hungry.. and we couldn't find the restaurant, so we wandered in the hot sun looking. Eventually we found it and ordered our food. He told me he had a park he wanted to take me to but he wasn't sure how exactly do get there from where we were, so I pulled out my phone and put it into my google map. By this time we're hot and hungry and getting miserable so of course we took a wrong turn.. and ended up going the long way.. which took an extra 20 minutes... FINALLY! we got to the park after me spending 20 minutes wondering why we couldn't just stop anywhere so we could eat, and we found somewhere to sit.. right next to the bathrooms. This is where the story takes a turn for the better. As soon as I took my first bite of poutine the long walk was forgotten. After we ate we were sitting just sort of enjoying our surroundings and I jokingly was said "marry me" because I was just sitting here thinking it would be the perfect place to do it. When I looked at him, I knew I had made a mistake.. he just had this look on his face that can only be described as pure terror but then he reached into his pocket and pulled out a box (a Zelda box because of course). He asked me to marry him... I think.. I may have just said yes without giving him a chance to actually ask.
