The ceremony will take place on the beach next to the Unique Beach Club. Please find your seat by 4:30 pm. Ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm.

Cocktail hour will be held at the Unique Bar, which is located behind the beach ceremony site. Please enjoy some light appetizers and cocktails!

The reception will be held at Goldfish Beach Club, located near the beach opposite the Unique Beach Club. Just follow the beach footpath from the Unique side and arrive at Goldfish. Dinner will be served. Dancing: mandatory. ;)

When should I book my travel? How much does it cost to stay at Lopesan?

We ask that you reserve your room & airfare whenever works best! Keep an eye on prices as rates will fluctuate throughout the year. We visited the resort in April 2024. For 5 nights, unique services and a pool view room, we paid $1,647 for both of us. We booked via CheapCaribbean.com since that was the best deal we found!

Can we stay at another resort & just come for the ceremony?
Answer
That's up to y'all! We hope to spend time with all guests outside of the ceremony night. If you stay off the property, a guest day pass is needed for the wedding day.

What should I wear on the wedding day?
Answer
We are encouraging our guests to wear semi-formal in their favorite shade of blue! Please refrain from wearing ivory/white/black. Semi-formal attire for men includes dress pants, a button-down shirt, blazer or suit jacket optional and tie optional. Semi-formal attire for women includes cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or dress pants. The ceremony will take place on the beach! Ladies are suggested to wear block heels or flats but wear whatever y'all are comfortable with walking on the sand.

Yes! Everyone will get a plus one. If you opt to bring a plus one, you will be able to RSVP on behalf of that guest when submitting your own RSVP.

Ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour, and a reception with dinner. For those interested, we will go to the resort's dance club after to continue the party. If you have a food allergy / dietary request, please let us know when you RSVP!

DO NOT Drink the Tap Water!
Answer
Do NOT drink the tap water as you will get sick. Only drink bottled water. Use bottled water to brush your teeth and keep your mouth closed when showering. The resort uses purified water to clean and cook their food and make ice. Unlimited alcohol & time in the sun can make you really dehydrated. So remember to drink lots of bottle water during your trip.

The resort is all-inclusive, so all of your food/drink options will be included with your booking. Reservations are "needed" for the restaurants. Once you check in and receive your room number, you can prebook reservations via the Lopesan app. **Make sure to pre-book your reservations on the first day since they can fill up fast!!** Buffets are open throughout the day with typically no wait. There are 2 different buffets for "regular" rooms and if you happen to book a "unique" room you have an additional beach buffet option. There is also a 24-hour spot in the lobby with a 24hr bar and food, and 24hr room service.

What should I pack?

Water-resistant sunscreen and bug spray. The average temperature in January is 83 degrees. January is considered the peak of the dry season, with very little rainfall and low humidity. We do still suggest bringing damprid hanging bags to help with humidity in your rooms! Mosquitoes are usually most active during the rainy season, typically from July to November. We still suggest bringing some repellent for the evening time!

The language spoken in DR is Spanish. There are not many English speakers around but if you stay in the resort, most of the staff can communicate in basic English. We suggest downloading google translate.

What NOT to eat in the DR!
Answer
When it comes to food, there are a few things to watch out for. Avoid eating any raw fruits or vegetables, lettuce, or salad that may have been rinsed in tap water. It’s also recommended to avoid eating undercooked meat or raw seafood, as well as any dishes that contain unpasteurized dairy products. Stick to cooked food that is served piping hot!! We suggest bringing basic travel medication, such as Imodium, ibuprofen, Tums, Pepto Bismol, Benadryl, etc.
