Her story: After finally giving in to working on the racetrack, one of the first people I was introduced to was described as an outgoing, energetic comedian, who, much to my surprise, didn’t utter a word. I did quickly notice he had the cutest pony I had ever seen... I was in love... with Red Car Mac. Over the next several months of working together at the racetrack, between early morning breezers and late-night winners, we became fast friends, sharing many laughs over Kevin's curious Tinder dates, a few beers, and some signature dance moves. Finally, we acknowledged the elephant in the room, and Kevin asked me on a proper date (we are still debating when that actually was). His story: On a cold winter’s day at Churchill Downs, a young man cast his eye on a slightly older and very beautiful woman who would captivate his attention and change his life forever. He won her over with his hilarious pickup lines (that would take her two days to come up with a comeback), interesting dating stories (I don’t know why she was so interested), killer dance moves, and an ice chest full of beer (thanks, Han!). And there was a horse that might have helped his case. We got to know each other well that winter with late-day pre-races, claiming horses all day long, and waiting forever for horses to return from the test barn, and the love story started from there. It might have taken me a while and a move two hours away, but I finally asked her on a date, and she said yes! The end.

Travel Note
In typical Kevin and Theresa fashion, we’ve selected a weekend when Louisville will be hosting a major outdoor music festival downtown. This could affect hotel and rental availability, so we highly recommend booking your accommodations early. While we have secured a block of rooms at several east end hotels (booking links below), we expect these to fill quickly. There are also other hotels and many AirBnB/VRBO options around and within reasonable proximity to the venue. Please keep the festival in mind when making your reservations, and be sure to book soon, as the city will be quite busy that weekend. As always, feel free to reach out to Kevin or I if you need any help with accommodations. We so appreciate everyone traveling to join in our celebration.
