Mickey and Matt met in 2019, thanks to a little accidental matchmaking by their best friends, Rainey and Rat, who had just started dating at the time. One night, Rainey brought Mickey over to hang out at Matt and Rat’s house, where the group bonded over their favorite drinking game called Three Man. If you've never played Three Man, count your blessings! That night’s group (which now makes up most of their wedding party) spent the evening laughing, yelling, chanting the Boise State Fight Song, and trying to remember the rules. Mickey and Matt were the last survivors of the night. They spent that night sitting at the dining table, eating Del Taco, a little buzzed, and laughing uncontrollably. No deep talks, no romantic sparks... just two people who couldn’t stop making each other laugh. That night was the start of a beautiful friendship! Over the next four years, their friendship kept growing. They spent their time exploring new restaurants around the Treasure Valley, dog-sitting their favorite pup Scooby, sharing music on a joint playlist, biking around Boise, and showing up for each other (aka Matt dealing with all of Mickey’s car problems). Looking back, it was pretty obvious that this would turn into more than just a friendship... Oops! In 2023, they finally made it official! Since then, they’ve been busy building a life together! They’ve traveled, remained die-hard Boise State fans, bought their first home, celebrated friends at weddings, snuggled their besties’ babies, adopted their little menace of a puppy named Buzz, and made a million memories along the way. So, thanks to Rainey and Rat, a few wild rounds of Three Man, and maybe a little too much Peach Ciroc (barf), Mickey and Matt will be saying “I do” on March 7, 2026. They can’t wait to celebrate with the people who mean the most to them. They’re endlessly grateful for the family who has supported them and the friends who have become family along the way.
