Is Four Oaks Manor an outdoor venue?
Answer
Yes, Four Oaks Manor is considered an outdoor venue. There are select indoor areas, including the main house, which can be used for momentary relief from the elements and the an indoor area for dancing. However these spaces are limited in size and capacity, so it should be assumed the majority of the time spent throughout the ceremony/reception will be outside.

What will the temperature be like?

Last year, the temperature on November 15th had a High of 61 with a Low of 54. Given that we're starting at 4pm, it's likely the entire spectrum of those temperatures will be experienced. As a deterrent to this fact, heaters have been purchased to warm the ceremony/reception areas. Regardless, warmth should be a factor when considering what to wear.

What's the Dress Code?

Cocktail/Formal/Just-Look-Cute The wedding will take place outside during mid-November in Georgia. Save for a few trails, the ground is mainly grass. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-50's at least. Keep these factors in mind when considering your attire.

What time am I expected to arrive?
Answer
The Wedding Party itself will arrive at the Manor at about 12pm on the 15th for photos. For all other guests, the ceremony will begin at 4pm on the spot. We unfortunately have very limited time to celebrate, and therefore cannot accommodate tardiness. Some of you may think that's rich coming from us, and mind you, it is. But that doesn't change the direness of being on time. We must start at 4, whether you're there or not.

9pm. At about 8:45pm, we will begin asking everyone to collect their belongings and start calling their Ubers, if necessary.

What's the closest airport to the venue?
Answer
The closest airport is going to be Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Depending on the traffic, it's approximately an hour away from Four Oaks Manor. Please keep this in mind when planning your travel.

We would adore the opportunity to host all guests and their respective partners and families. Unfortunately, we only have so much room and cannot accommodate everyone. When confirming your RSVP in the section above, if you do not see a "Plus One" option or if the names of your children are not attached, then the invitation is regretfully for you and you alone. As RSVPs begin coming in, we are more than willing to take requests into consideration. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

How much time should I take off for this? What day should I arrive?
Answer
Whether you are planning to attend the Rehearsal Dinner or solely the Wedding, it is highly recommended to arrive on the day before whichever event, as to avoid cutting it close. This means 11/13 for those attending the Rehearsal Dinner and 11/14 for those attending the Wedding. At the very least, do what you can to make it to the Wedding on time.

Things To Do
Georgia Aquarium
Recognized as one of the greatest aquariums in the states, it's a fun spot to imerse yourself into the all the beauty the sea has to offer. It was here where a Beluga Whale appeared to have some form of connection with Thiana. Transfixed by her, the beautiful creature did about 4 flips, maintaining eye contact with her every chance it could before floating away. It was gorgeous.
Escape The NetherWorld
Escape rooms created by the same designers of one of the nations best haunted attractions. Both Armando and Thiana are regulars to Netherworld for the Halloween Season. Though they have yet to experience the escape rooms for themselves, if they're anything like the haunted houses, groups of 8 can enjoy a highly immersive experience unlike any other.

A snap shot of Bavarian Living, this replica of a German town offers a little something for everybody. Outdoor enthusiasts explore two golf courses, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, tubing, rock climbing, zip lining and horseback riding. Culinary and culture vultures delight in Helen’s seven wineries and beautiful tasting rooms, her eclectic dining landscape, mountaintop spa and accomplished artisans – quilters, woodcarvers, potters, glass artists. Shoppers are enchanted by a streetscape a’bustle with activity: like-minded souls browsing more than 150 shops, horse-drawn carriages, German music – even a babbling brook – and all in down-home ambience. Here, Armando and Thiana both shared the largest glass of beer they've ever had in their lives.
Starlight Drive-In Theatre and Flea Market
As classic as it gets, catch the latest flicks in the comfort of your own car in the middle of the woods. Thiana and Armando watched the last 2 films in the new Halloween Trilogy here, which enhanced the experience of those pretty-alright movies exponentially. If you can, bring a portable radio so you won't be as stressed as Thiana was thinking about her car battery dying.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
Take a stroll though a stunning graden that hosts several events throughout the week, including a yoga class, storytimes for kids, a paint and sip, and so much more. Keep an eye on the exhibits planned for your visit. When Thiana and Armando went, they had an Alice in Wonderland theme that was stunning.
Atlantic Station
An open-air mall in the heart of Atlanta that offers the latest in shopping and dining. It includes events such as yoga, pilates and a farmers market. And did we mention the outdoor ice skating rink? The bride to be needs you to know there's an outdoor ice skating rink! Armando and Thiana once visited the mall's movie theater to see "Tenet". It was Armando's first time and Thiana's second. She couldn't understand half the things they were saying the first time she saw it due to the films notoriously poor sound mixing.
World of Coca-Cola
Part museum, Part Tasting Parlor, Part Gift Shop. Learn how one of the world's most recognizable brands essentially stole the idea from someone who ended up dying penniless while making you think, "... I really don't know what's in Coke, do I?" Armando whined for years about wanting to go here before realizing what he REALLY wanted was a Coke Hoodie that he could have gotten from the gift shop without having to spend money on a ticket to the whole museum. Still, would recommend for those with families who haven't done it yet. The highlight is getting to taste rare Coke flavors from around the world.
Historic Banning Mills
Touted as the Worlds Largest Zipline Canopy, release your inhibitions as you zip from tree to tree in the heart of the woods. And with 4 different levels, the tours can accommodate any level of Zipliner, whether you're a beginner or a weathered veteran. On ceetain nights in the fall, they even offer nighttime tours for those feeling particularly adventurous. Ziplinining not your thing? The Mill also offers wildlife shows, horseback riding, dune buggy tours, and so much more. Thiana and Armando was joined by her cousin, Abigail, to dip their toe in this thrilling experience at Level 1 and had an absolute blast.
Piedmont Park
Atlanta's very own Central Park, stroll though this over 200 acre park that's been around for nearly 200 years. A stop for an impromptu picnic or a family getogether at it's several playgrounds. Thiana and Armando visited the park in one of their last visits in need of fresh air, and ending up spending nearly the entire afternoon in the park's iconic open field. They were not left disappointed.
Center For Puppetry Arts
This cultural treasure takes guests through the vast history of Puppetry across the world. They host special exhibits that change seasonally. When Thiana and Armando went, they made a recreation of Jim Henson's Creature Shop and displayed his most notable puppetry work from films like The Labyrinth. Highly recommended for kids of any age.
Six Flags Over Georgia
A no-frills theme park solely focused on exhilarating the souls of coaster fanatics and thrill seekers alike. Sporting 12 intense rollercoasters, including a historic wooden coaster and DC themed coasters. Thiana and Armando went on "The Great American Scream Machine" the last time they were in Georgia, and the 50 year old coaster nearly broke every bone in their body. A blast.
Cascade Family Skating
A local favorite turned national sensation, this roller skating rink gained notability after being featured in several movies and music videos, and hosting a-list celebrity events during the 2000s. Thiana visited the after hour event during one of her stays in Georgia and was enamored by the craftsmanship of the skaters. Skating is serious business in Atlanta. Everyone knew how to skate. Like a pro. Full back flips, synchronized dancing and twirls commenced, forcing Thiana to wobble off the rink and save herself from the embarrassment of being an amateur. Highly Recommend.
Oakland Cemetery
A historic graveyard that Thiana and Armando try to visit every time they come up to Atlanta. A massive, quiet space to relax, explore, or even take a tour of their more famous residents. Afterwards, if you're in need of refreshment, "Six Feet Under" is a bar and grill that Armando and Thiana also frequent for their upstairs outdoor patio that overlooks the entire length of the cemetery.
