Julissa & Anthony both graduated from John Bowne High School. They never spoke in person but had each other on social media. After graduating, they did not see each other again until 5 years later…On April of 2020, Julissa posted a meme on her Instagram story which Anthony believed was his best shot to start a conversation. She replied to his reaction and since that day never lost touch!

After texting for a couple months, Anthony finally asked Gaby out on a date. Due to the pandemic, all restaurants were still closed…but that did not stop Ant. He took Julissa to one of his favorite taco trucks in Queens to order take out… then drove to Flushing Marina where they enjoyed the tacos and take out drinks (something they both love) lol… there they talked for hours until a police officer approached the car and asked them to leave... (Anthony was slightly embarrassed). They continued going on several dates, Gaby met his closest friends and Ant met Gaby’s. They both worked a lot so they did not have much time to spend with each other but enjoyed the moments they would.

On October 31st, 2020, Ant invited Gaby to a friend’s Halloween party. That night they had a couple of drinks and when it came to say goodbye, Ant asked Gaby “Will you punch me if I go in for a kiss?”. She thought it was so cute for him to be asking so kindly. She couldn’t resist and they shared their very first kiss! Their friendship grew stronger and stronger. On April 4th, Gaby & Anthony were hanging out at Julio’s house (Ant’s friend), It was getting late for Gaby. Anthony drove Gaby back to her place but before leaving…He stopped her and told her how much he enjoys spending time with her and asked her to be his girlfriend! Gaby smiled and she also expressed how much she loved spending time with him too. But she was worried that they both had busy schedules and she thought it would be hard to maintain a serious relationship. Anthony agreed but insisted that he will make it work, Gaby also promised to make more time for each other and she said YES! That night they had their second kiss.

Throughout their 3 years as boyfriend and girlfriend, Gaby & Anthony always reminisce about their journey. Some of many examples such as Anthony meeting her loving and protective family, the countries they visited together, and Anthony getting used to calling Julissa by her middle name (Gaby). Both wouldn’t change a single thing and cherish all the good… and yes… also the hard times that made their relationship of what it is today.

With the blessings & help of their loved ones, Ant made Gaby's dream proposal come true on June 29th, 2024. Anthony asked his mom (Tati) to send a fake "wedding invitation" so that Gaby will dress up and both look their very best. The day has come and Gaby is done getting ready... Ant picked her up from her apartment, when he saw her, he said “You look amazing”. Gaby was too hungry to respond and rushed out, so that they didn't miss the appetizers. But first they needed to pick up Ant's mom. When they arrived to Tati’s house, she came outside and told them she had a surprise for them. Gaby was confused and became suspicious. As Tati walked her to the back porch, blindfolded, the song “Can’t help but Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley started playing. The same song that Anthony had been playing for her for the past few months 🥹 Gaby could not help but get emotional even before taking the blindfold off. Tati removed it and that’s when she saw the love of her life, Anthony, and their families together all cheering. Anthony popped the big question with a beautiful emerald cut ring and without a doubt Gaby said YES!
