You know how people always say, “Don’t go to a bar to find love”? Well, that’s partly true—but sometimes love finds you when you least expect it. On April 15, 2022, a simple night out with separate friend groups turned into the beginning of our story. Dani, a native of Indianapolis, IN and proud University of Louisville alum, was in town celebrating her sorority chapter’s centennial. Kiron, a Louisville native and proud Kentucky State University alum, just happened to be at the same bar after locking his keys in his car (true story, lol). After a mutual friend introduced us—and after Kiron jokingly asked Dani if he could use her AAA—we’ve been inseparable ever since. Our first official date was on Kiron’s birthday, when he came up to Indy to celebrate with Dani. Living two hours apart meant lots of trips back and forth, but with each visit, it became clear we wanted to build a life together. Eventually, one of us had to make the move—and Kiron did just that, relocating to Indianapolis with our sweet beagle, Jax (the best pup we could ask for!). Fast forward to Thanksgiving November 28, 2024—Kiron asked Dani the ultimate question, and with zero hesitation, she said “yes.” Now, with God as our foundation, we’re preparing to spend forever together, continuing to grow in love, travel often, and—someday—grow our family.
