Our Story

First comes college, then comes marriage.

Paige and Nate’s meet-cute story is something out of a fairy tale – sorta. The first time Nate laid eyes on Paige, she was a lion. (No one has ever made an orange onesie look so good.) On that Halloween day in a fluorescent-lit classroom in a far away land called Rohnert Park, Nate knew he had to work his magic to get her in his T.A. group to spend some extra time with her. From living in a room together for six months while Nate graduated college to renting their first apartment together to now owning a home, the pair still find the most happiness simply being in each others company. It’s no surprise that a Nor-Cal boy and So-Cal girl also find solace near the water, which is why Nate proposed to Paige at Dillon Beach near Tomales. Setting up a camera and tripod, Nate pretended they were taking a selfie in front of the water, only for him to drop on one knee. It’s no surprise to anyone that Paige cried before she could say yes. (She cries even just reading this.) Maybe its not quite a story book fairy tale, but they’re ready to live happily ever after.

Wedding Party

Rachel Elkin

Matron of Honor

Before Nate got in between them, Rachel was Paige's soulmate for the last 23 years. Rachel and Paige had dreamed of being each other's Maid of Honor's since they were little preteens - special thanks to the movie 'Bride Wars'. Fast forward to 2022 and the two are in Hawaii for Rachel's wedding and Paige crying through her MOH speech. Three years later, the roles have reversed but with a ~plot twist~ Rachel is pregnant with a baby girl! ♡ That wasn't in the movie, but they're happy it still feels like a cheesy romcom.

Avalon Maxwell

Bridesmaid

Circa 2007, Paige had just moved to Redondo Beach to start middle school when she met Avalon. Luckily for the two new besties, Avalon’s house was around the corner from their future high school, which meant countless time was spent making core memories: multi-day sleepovers to high school gossip over bon-bons to ditching zero-period band classes for last minute outfit changes. Today, the two continue to share their journeys in love and growth, but with the help of Avalon's beautiful 2 year-old daughter Grace.

Jazmine Kary

Bridesmaid

Fate is the darnedest thing. Paige was lucky enough to meet Jazmine because their last names were in alphabetical order while in line on the first day of Freshman orientation. High school came and went, in all its glory, and once again they found themselves together, this time at Sonoma State University. Senior year they became roommates and Jazmine was immediately a home away from home, and remains a safe haven to this day. There is nobody who radiates warmth quite like her, but her homemade salsa is a close second.

Adam Bravo

Best Man

The Best Man, the baldest man, but also the man who introduced Nate to the rest of his wedding party many moons ago. Nate met Adam in high school and they've been roasting and supporting each other ever since. What he's lost in hair, he more than makes up for as a friend – as a brother. Adam is one of the most caring and fun people you'll meet. Adam lives in Gilroy, CA, and is a Manager at Cordevalle Resort in San Martin.

Andrew Rodriguez

Groomsman

The life of the party. Andrew and Nate's fondest memories trace back to consistent quality time, listening to new mixtapes at three-day sleepovers and driving around bumping new music they saved. Andrew is the heartbeat of our little group, the one person we know will always be there to lend a hand or just an ear. I'm lucky to call him one of my best friends. Andrew lives in Fresno with his girlfriend Alicia and works at Workforce Connection, helping guide young adults through personal development.

Antonio Leyva

Groomsman

The man with impeccable style and taste. Tone and Nate bonded over the latest R&B hits and Sam Smith's 2014 album 'In the Lonely Hour' – what a long way they have come. A million pop-culture references, hundreds of hours of video game play, and one too many drunk cigarettes later, the two are best friends for life. Tone lives in Hayward with his girlfriend Jess and specializes in helping students get ready for college at Eastside College Preparatory School.
