Our Story

First comes sandwiches, then comes marriage...

Alex and Ali met almost 12 years ago. While it was not love at first sight... it was actually the opposite. Alex met Ali the day he came to work at Jersey Mikes and she had the task to show him around. Ali wasn't so great at taking directions (oldest of 3 siblings) and Alex, while meaning well, was a little bossy (only child). They were stuck working many shifts together and over doing dishes, Alex getting help on her math HW, and Ali getting advice on his love life...they finally became close friends. Fast forward to the Spring of 2014, when they were both getting ready to leave Jersey Mikes...Ali and Alex sat on a bench in front of the sandwich shop and he asked her to be his girlfriend. Fast forward again, almost 10 years later...this past summer of 2023, Ali (with some incredible helpers) got that very bench into their little apartment and got down on one knee and proposed. They have shared the special experience of growing up together, and in that process, growing with each other. Today, the high school health teacher and the football coach (Ali is the football coach) live together with their perfect angel of a cat, Juno, and continue to plan for the future and their next chapter. Alex and Ali are looking forward to continuing their love story and joining in marriage. They can't wait to celebrate their journey and their future with their loved ones on November 9, 2024.

Question

Yes, please select your plate when you RSVP.

Answer

Booo. You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired professionals to capture this moment in our lives and we would hate to have a phone or device blocking this moment. After the ceremony, feel free to take and post as many photos as you want!

Question

Am I going to have fun?

Answer

DUH!

For all the days along the way
