TAYLORS VERSION The first time we saw each other we were cleaning out houses for Harvey in 2017. I had just moved to Houston 2 weeks before Harvey hit and boy let me tell you I can still remember the smell of the first house we cleaned out. The fridge had gotten lifted off the ground from the water and traveled all the way into the person's living room. So naturally, all the food had spilled out and the shrimp that was in the freezer had all huddled together in the corner of the office room. As the days went on and the more houses that needed to be torn down from the inside, the more we saw more of each other. I got introduced to some of the girls in my church and coincidentally Scott was in our church and part of the friend group. As high school went on we had a few classes here and there together. I had always had a crush on Scott, but I never acted on it until senior year. I had sent the "Hey I like you" text and waited. It wasn't before long that I got the "I am sorry I know how you feel" Like what is that response?! How was I supposed to go to class the next day let alone sit right next to him?! I ended up living but still so embarrassing. A little over a month goes by and we are talking like normal and hanging out in the friend group when all of the sudden my co worker says that she hear Scott and I were a thing. I was like wait hold up what. She has said she heard it from his own mouth so it must be true. Thanks from letting a girl know Scott! Anyways He has asked me to be his girlfriend on October 25th 2019. That was our homecoming night and he has just got done playing. We have over come and been through a lot over the years with college and him being in the military. But over the years I have never been more certain that this is the person I want to marry. I thought she might have been weird because her little brother Skyler was trying to break all the walls with his head. As I got to know her over the weeks I realized she was pretty cool and not that weird. And as I got to know her over the years I realized I loved everything about her. How it felt taking, being with her, her hair, her eyes, kindness and so much more. I didn't want anything but her. She said yes October 25th 2019 and then again 5 years later December 8th.
