Grace Bay Beach, Turks and Caicos

Travel

We are so excited to share one of our favorite places with you all! The wedding will take place at Grace Bay Beach, on the island of Providenciales which is on the west side of the Turks & Caicos Island. Grace Bay Beach is a magnificent stretch of coast with endless hotel options including The Palms and The Sands as well as The Ritz, Beaches, Grace Bay Club, Seven Stars, Point Grace and many more options. The island also has vacation rental homes through Airbnb or VRBO. We reccommend staying at the following hotels:

Hotel

The Palms Turks and Caicos

Princess Drive, The Bight Settlement, Caicos Islands TKCA 1ZZ, Turks And Caicos Islands

A stunning premiere resort in the heart of TCI where most of the wedding festivities will take place. Please call the hotel or book online for Junior Suites, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom suites.

Hotel

The Sands at Grace Bay

Grace Bay, Caicos Islands TKCA 1ZZ, Turks And Caicos Islands

The beautiful sister hotel to The Palms, The Sands is located on the same beach just a quick 10-minute walk away. Shuttle service will be provided to and from The Palms on the day of the wedding and a hotel-provided shuttle runs hourly to and from the hotels every day. Please call the hotel or hook online for Junior Suites, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom suites. Please note, room blocks at this hotel are limited and will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

Flight

Providenciales International Airport (PLS)

PLS is the only airport on the island with direct flights to and from Turks and Caicos from many locations. If direct flights are not offered, we recommend connecting in Miami, Atlanta or Charlotte. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged through the hotels, simply inquire when booking. Additionally, large vans/cabs are always readily available outside the airport, no prearrangement required. Most are cash only!

FAQs

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please complete your 80% confidence RSVP upon receipt of the Save the Date as soon as possible. Final RSVP requests will be included in formal invitations sent in the coming months.

Question

Are children invited to attend the wedding?

Answer

While we encourage all children to join their parents on their trip to Turks, children will not be invited to the ceremony and reception. Children are welcome to attend the welcome party on Friday night! If you are interested in baby sitting services on the island, Childcare and Nanny Services of Turks and Caicos is highly recommended by the hotel. Their information is below: (babysittingbuddiestci.com) OR Phone: 1-649-242-2229.

Question

Will the wedding festivities be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All wedding events, including the ceremony and reception, will be held outdoors.

Question

What is the weather like in Turks in early May?

Answer

The average temperature is high 70's-mid 80's with high humidity during the day so it makes the temps feel warmer

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is tropical formal. Tuxes or suits for men, formal dresses for women. The ceremony will be help in the courtyard on grass and the reception will be taking place on a patio so sand will not be a concern! The welcome party (Friday night) will be held on the beach, the dress code is tropical-cocktail attire.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Through our travels to Turks, we have not found it necessary to rent a car although car rentals are easily accessible. Many shops and restaurants are located on Grace Bay Road which is walkable from many hotels. Taxis can also be called by the hotel front desk for guests at any time. The Palms, The Sands and The Shore Club also have a shuttle service running between the three hotels which make for easy access to the restaurants located on each property. Many hotels, including The Palms & The Sands also offer free bikes to guests for use during the day. If you do rent a car, just know, they drive on the left hand side in Turks!

Question

What is the local currency in Turks & Caicos?

Answer

USD is accepted everywhere in Turks. For Credit Cards, please check with the specific restaurant or activity location to see which major credit cards are accepted.
