Our Love Story
If you don’t know our story, you probably weren’t invited. We’ve been together for nearly 11 years, which suggests this arrangement is working. In that time, we’ve built a life in Brisbane, accumulated a small number of opinions, and an unreasonable number of animals. Tess is a lawyer who reads constantly. Jim is a gardener who keeps things alive (including us). We share strong black-cat energy, a dark sense of humour, and a mutual dislike of most people. This is not a journey. We aren't big on public displays. But after more than a decade, making it legally binding felt practical.

Dress Code: Cocktail (Rainforest Ceremony) We invite guests to wear cocktail attire. Our ceremony and pre-reception will be held outdoors in the rainforest, followed by an indoor reception—please dress for a warm setting and consider suitable footwear. No colour theme—just please don’t wear a big white gown. Jim is already wearing that.
Join us for welcome drinks! Please aim to arrive by 3:30pm to allow plenty of time to settle in and grab a drink before the ceremony begins at 4:00pm. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

Our ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. We invite you to join us as we exchange vows and celebrate the beginning of our next chapter together, surrounded by our family and friends.
Pre-Dinner Drinks, Canapés & Reception
4:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapés while we capture a few photographs and prepare for the evening ahead. From 5:30pm, the reception celebrations will commence, featuring dinner, speeches, dancing, and plenty of time to celebrate. The evening will conclude at 11:00pm.

Where is the wedding being held?

Can we stay at the venue?

Yes! The venue has on-site accommodation available, so you’re very welcome to stay and make a night of it. All accommodation bookings must be made directly through the venue’s website, and as it’s a popular spot for weddings and events, we strongly recommend booking early to avoid missing out: https://www.tamborinemountainglades.com.au/home/accommodation/ Check-in is from 2:00pm. As a little bonus, you can use our wedding code WED2764 when booking directly through the website to receive $20 off per night (subject to availability). If you have any questions, you’re welcome to contact the venue’s reservations team on 07 5545 7900. If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere, there are plenty of accommodation options within a short driving distance. However, we’re not too sure what taxis/rideshare availability is like in the area, so we recommend planning ahead.
