FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! Please make sure your passport is up to date! If you need to renew or obtain a passport, we recommend expediting the process to ensure it arrives in time for your trip.

Question

Is the water safe to drink?

Answer

Yes, the water in Curaçao is safe to drink and is delicious. The island’s tap water is desalinated, meeting high safety and quality standards. Many locals and visitors drink it without issues. However, if you prefer, bottled water is widely available throughout the island.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you're interested in exploring the beautiful island of Curaçao, we highly recommend renting a car for convenience and flexibility. We've secured discounted rates through J&I Transportation to make your experience even easier! Feel free to contact them directly to reserve your vehicle.

Question

Where is the Titos, Grey Goose and Casamigos?

Answer

As you come to celebrate our wedding, we wanted to let you know that you may want to consider picking up some liquor at the duty-free shops in the airport on your way to the wedding. This way, you can enjoy some of your favorite drinks without worrying about restrictions or prices in Curacao.

Question

Don't forget a converter for your electronics!

Answer

If you're traveling from outside Curaçao, be sure to bring a power adapter or converter for your electronics. The standard voltage is 127V, and the plugs are typically two-prong (Type A or B). We recommend purchasing a converter ahead of time so you can stay charged and connected during your stay!

Question

How far is the airport from Avila Beach Hotel?

Answer

Approximately 15 minutes from the airport. Once we have everybody’s travel arrangement we will arrange for transportation to Avila Beach Resort.

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you by the sea! To ensure everyone is comfortable and stylish, please follow our beach wedding dress code: Ladies: Light, airy dresses, sandals, or wedges (please avoid high heels due to the sand). Gentlemen: Light suits, dress shirts, or button-down shirts with slacks or linen pants. Comfortable shoes are essential! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the beautiful beach setting!
