Olga and Harry’s story began in October 2023, shortly after Olga moved to Charlotte, when they both joined the same pickleball league. As fate would have it, they were placed on the same team as free agents (who later ended up winning the season!). And the surprises didn't stop there. Coincidentally, they soon discovered they lived in the same Uptown apartment building and worked across the street from one another, proof that sometimes the world really is small. Soon, shared drives to and from the courts turned into longer conversations, laughter, and the start of a genuine friendship. In December, just before Olga went home for the holidays, a night out with friends sparked into something more. That spark carried them through weeks of nonstop conversations until Olga returned to Charlotte, when they went on their first official date in January 2024. From there, everything fell naturally into place... and the rest is history.

In July 2025, Harry planned the ultimate surprise: a romantic, thoughtfully orchestrated proposal in Albania. He chose a private beach for the moment, creating an intimate setting for such a special moment. Ever the memento guy, Harry even brought along the very pickleball they had won their league with, a playful nod to where it all began. Albania is a deeply meaningful place for Olga, as it’s where she’s originally from and where much of her family and culture is rooted. Seeing Harry fully embrace the experience and take such care in planning a proposal in a place so special to her made the moment unforgettable. From pickleball teammates to life partners, their story is one of serendipity, adventure, and choosing each other every step of the way 🖤.
