How do I get to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum?

Note: Cell reception is spotty the further east you travel. Please download the directions and maps before leaving the city! *Take your favorite way to Hwy 60 East. Wave to Apache Junction and Gold Canyon as you drive through! *Hwy 60 will turn southeast for a while and then head east again. Wave again as you pass Queen Valley. *When Rt 60 East and Rt 79 shake hands, you will be 15 miles from the Arboretum. Making progress! *Continue on Rt 60 East. Watch for the Picket Post Trail Head on the right, which is 3 miles from the Arboretum. Almost there! *Pass over the Arnett Creek, which is 1 mile from the Arboretum. Super close! *Turn right into the Arboretum parking lot. You have arrived! Remember your sunscreen! Congratulations on your successful journey! Thank you for taking this trek to our wedding!

What do I do if I miss the bus?

Answer

Please don't! Please arrive at our house by 9:15 so the bus will leave on time at 9:30. Otherwise Uber and Lyft will be your options. Please don't miss our special day! When the reception ends at 4pm, please be on board and ready to leave by 4:15. Upon return to the house, the after party will begin! Note the bus is only available for our many out-of-Arizona guests.

How do I find the ceremony area?

Answer

From the parking lot, head toward the main Visitor's Entrance. Follow the white signs that say "Cogley Merger Completion". Tatum Lum, the onsite coordinator, will also be at the entrance providing small maps and guidance.

Do I need to pay for a ticket to enter the Arboretum?

Answer

No. You will receive a free day pass as part of the event.

What shall I wear?

Answer

Please wear your "Sunday best"! *Slacks, dressy shorts and dresses are appreciated. *Please no jeans or t-shirts of any kind. *Please wear shoes that perform well with dust, gravel and rocks. Please no stilettos or unsteady footwear. *Sunscreen is strongly recommended. The event is outdoors with minimal coverage from trees.

What will be on the menu?

Answer

Bonzai Boyz of Mesa will be providing Asian fusion cuisine. Various dishes will be available with chicken, pork and/or vegetables.

Where will the reception and after party be held?

Answer

The reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Arboretum. The after party will start at 5:30pm at our home. All are welcome, including children, for a cookout and relaxed evening. Address is in the Things to Do section.
