Hotel
The coolest thing about this chic boutique hotel is that it's 100 yards from Cree Estate, where we will host the welcome party, cocktail hour, reception and post wedding brunch.
House Or Rental
The month of September can be very hot during the day, and believe us, you will want to spend the vast majority of your time cooling off in the pool. So we highly recommend booking an AirBnB with a private pool! Staying somewhere between downtown Palm Springs and Cathedral City will keep you central to the wedding weekend events. Go in on a big place with family and friends, or opt for your own private spot - there are so many amazing rentals to choose from. Linked below is our favorite place to book when we travel to PS with Smokey & Bandit.
House Or Rental
Try VRBO, in addition to AirBnB, to expand your rental search. The option linked below is very close to our reception venue.
Hotel
The Ace is the quintessential Palm Springs pool-party kind of hotel - always a good time.
Hotel
RIP Jimmy Buffett Also, a great kitschy option for guests who want to be close to downtown Palm Springs. We considered hosting the wedding there, no joke.
Hotel
The Parker is STUNNING!! Zenobia had the pleasure of staying at The Parker while shooting a Fabletics editorial a few years back, and the experience is still unmatched. It is not the most affordable place in town, but it's certainly worth looking into.
Flight
For our out of town guests wanting a direct in/out option, there is an airport here - PSP! Be sure to also look into flights to/from LAX or BUR - Don't worry, there will probably be at least a few people making the 2 hour drive from the the Los Angeles area into the desert. Rent a car or coordinate a carpool.
Team Stilts is a nickname that Joe Grace gave to us when we were all playing bocce ball together at Grace Ranch a few years back. Something to do with the both of us being super tall or whatever. Ask Joe for the full story.
The desert has long since held a special place in our hearts. Palm Spring was our first big vacation destination together, and has become a yearly pilgrimage for us ever since. We can't wait to share Palm Springs with all of our favorite people!
We are inviting a small selection of children to our wedding, so please look closely at your wedding invitation for specific invitees. If parents do choose to bring their invited little ones, please note that all children over the age of TWO are REQUIRED to be dropped off at Kidchella, our onsite daycare, upon arrival at Cree Estate. We will staff Kidchella with qualified childcare providers who will lead fun activities throughout the evening, as well as serve dinner and desserts to our little party goers. After dinner has concluded, parents may choose to check their little ones out of Kidchella and assume responsibility for them for the remainder of the evening. Parents are also free to let their children enjoy Kidchella through out the Reception, but they must be picked up by 10pm. Kindly note that Cree Estate, while fully enclosed, is situated on 2.5 aces or rolling grassy lawns, boast 2 large pools, 2 hot tubs and lots of cacti. Kidchella will be located and contained away from any bodies of water and cacti for their safety.
We cannot accommodate any plus ones, so please do no ask :) Due to us both having large families, there is no room to accommodate anybody who is not formally listed on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand.
Chances are, it is going to be HOT - though temperatures tend to cool down close to October. Daytime temperatures can range from 95°F - 103°F, rarely exceeding 110°F or falling below 85°F. Thankfully, the temperature does drop to the mid 80s when the sun goes down behind the mountain around 6:15pm. Sun hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, breezy layers & swimsuits are highly recommended during your stay.
The wedding ceremony at St. Theresa Catholic Church will be held indoors, while the cocktail hour and reception at Cree Estate will be held outdoors. Furthermore, all pre/ post wedding events hosted at Cree Estate will be outdoors.
Ladies, there is grass, so we wouldn't recommend stilettos
We would say no. Palm Springs is pretty small, and all of the wedding events will happen within a 4 mile radius. To that end, there are plenty of Ubers and Lyfts around for your convenience. However: If you are interested in venturing outsides of the confines of Palm Springs, a rental car is worthy investment. Make sure to check out Joshua Tree National Park or Salvation Mountain.
