We first met at a friend’s party and, at the time, didn’t think much of it. Life moved on, and before we knew it, we became gym partners, showing up, pushing each other, and building a friendship that lasted for over three and a half years. When COVID shut everything down in 2020, we stayed in touch on and off, never knowing what was quietly unfolding. In 2021, when the world began opening back up, we reconnected over dinner. That evening became a turning point, especially after a simple but powerful question from Tawanna’s grandmother: “Why haven’t you two ever dated?” From that moment, a spark was ignited. We decided to take our time, dating casually and intentionally, learning more about one another on a deeper level while allowing God to lead our path. What started as a friendship grew into something undeniable. Love found us naturally, beautifully, and unexpectedly. Today, we are grateful for a journey rooted in faith, friendship, and patience, and we are so excited to continue this next chapter together, surrounded by love and purpose
