Our story

Our story began on the very first day of university. Two strangers, both nervous and excited about the journey ahead, crossed paths and quickly became friends. What Taryn didn’t know at the time was that Tristan had fallen for her from day one. Their friendship was easy and natural, filled with laughter, late-night chats, and the kind of banter that would soon become the heartbeat of their relationship. As time went on, that friendship blossomed into something deeper. Together, they discovered new passions and learned from one another. Tristan taught Taryn how to climb rocks, harness the wind while sailing, and wait patiently with a fishing line in hand. In return, Taryn has tried tirelessly to teach Tristan the importance of being on time—a lesson still very much a work in progress! But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Over the past six years, life has thrown them its fair share of challenges, yet through every high and low, they stood unwaveringly by each other’s side, offering strength, love, and support. Together, they became each other’s rock, finding joy even in the toughest of moments. Today, they are not only partners but best friends—two people who continue to tease, joke, and laugh their way through life, never taking a moment for granted. Their love is built on a foundation of friendship, adventure, resilience, and endless banter, and now they cannot wait to step into forever together, hand in hand, heart to heart.

Question

Please provide directions to the wedding venue.

Answer

Directions to Wingrove Valley: Coming from Durban/Johannesburg, you will travel along the N3 and take the Market Road offramp, you will then pass Bluff Meats on your left and take a slight left onto Washington Road. From here you take a right turn at the robots on Gladys Manzi Road and then proceed about 4km. Turn left into the Bisley Nature Reserve on Bisley Road (you will see the Wingrove Valley sign at the entrance of the Nature Reserve). Travel along the road for about 5.2km, then turn right into the driveway (there is a sign up there). At the gate, please give Tamlin (071 610 8750) a call and she will buzz you in. Please keep left at the split and follow the sign that reads: Wingrove Valley, to the reception venue. The Bisley road is a dirt road from about 2km into the nature reserve. Wingrove Valley is located on the Bisley Road, please do not try to use the Richmond Road or R56 as there is no access to the venue from there.
