FAQ

Question

When do we need to RSVP by?

Answer

By end of June if possible to allow us enough time to finalize numbers and plans.

Question

Is Bali Safe?

Answer

About as safe as any South east Asian Tourist destinations, careful of pickpockets in crowded tourist destinations and keep and eye on your phone in Nightclubs!

Question

How do we get around?

Answer

Best thing to do is download GRAB app (Uber for SE Asia), the prices will be local prices and you will not get ripped off! (You can use credit card or pay cash) make sure to not get on random cars from the airport! You can also book full day car and driver from about 45 to 55 AUD per day, we use KKDAY to book local drivers and you can just pay in the app. If you want to take taxis make sure that they run meter and only use the BLUE BIRD taxis in Bali

Question

Where do we stay?

Answer

There are plenty of cheap and good accommodation Bali, if you are travelling in groups I would suggest getting a multi room villa via Airbnb or booking.com/ Agoda. There are also many great smaller private pool Villas around Seminyak. South Kuta is also a great choice for families as they have a few larger resorts there. (Avoid main Kuta, too many bogans lol) For those who do not mind moving around we will also recommend spending a few nights in Uluwatu to save the treck back up to Seminyak/ Kuta Accomodation recommendation in Uluwatu - La Joya Biu Biu Resort (Cliffside pool and massages facing the ocean!) Ayana Resort - Largest resort in Indonesia, bit pricy but good for families that want everything inclusive at one location. Alila Villas Uluwatu - Up market modern villas with cliff views of the ocean, abit pricy but worth it for those who like the good things. Our Wedding venue is in Uluwatu and we will be staying around there for 2 nights leading up to the wedding at La Joya Biu Biu Uluwatu if anyone wanted to join us! Any questions on accommodations etc please feel free to message us!

Question

Do we need to bring cash?

Answer

There are plenty of licensed money changers in main Tourist areas in Bali, rates will always be competitive. Note that the airport money changers will always rip you off! My go to is a fee less travel card and you can then just use any ATM and withdraw daily rate with minimum fees.

Question

Do we need to tip?

Answer

Tipping in Bali is not expected but always welcome, general tipping guide is $1 or $2 AUD or around 10- 20k IDR (Always good to tip the bartender for stronger drinks lol). Whole day drivers can tip them abit more depending on service quality.

Question

Presents ?

Answer

We know gifts create a bit of a fuss, so rest assured your presence is your present to us. But if you simply can’t resist, our wishing well should assist.
