The wedding is located at the Montage Palmetto Bluff resort, with complimentary bikes and car shuttle service included in your stay. The hotel block is under the MaysonBoyden Wedding. There are also individual homes located on property that you can book through the hotel, or, through VRBO / Airbnb. If you do not plan to stay on property, please note that Uber and Lyft are inconsistent in the area.

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is home to several major airlines offering flights (35 direct) to and from various United States cities. The airport is 24 miles from Palmetto Bluff (approximately 40 minutes by car.)

The Hilton Head Airport (HHH) employs Delta, United, and American Airlines for service. The airport is 22 miles from Palmetto Bluff (approximately 37 minutes by car.)

Take full advantage of all that the lowcountry has to offer. Whether you are extending your stay or looking for activities in the area throughout the weekend, we encourage you to explore and experience the southern charm. While most events will be hosted at Palmetto Bluff throughout the weekend, there are also two neighboring areas we love! These are some of the activities we suggest, but there are many more available such as running/walking trails, tennis, pickleball, basketball, horseback riding, and guided outdoor adventures. PORCHING / SMORES' ROAST Southern porching is a must. Every afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the Carolina Room at the Inn, please enjoy cookies and sweet tea. In the evenings, enjoy gourmet smores' at the firepit behind the Inn, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ON THE WATER Private boat tours, water excursions, dolphin tours, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. MONTAGE SPA Set beside serene waterways and moss-laden oak trees, Spa Montage will lull you into a peaceful state of mind, body and heart. BIKING Each Montage guest has a complimentary bike with their room or rental home. There are many places to ride and explore around the property. GOLF Take in the majesty of century-old live oaks and serene native landscapes as you linger on the scenic 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Woven throughout the May River Forest are 7,171 yards, with several holes on the banks of the river. SHOOTING CLUB The Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club features 13 sporting clay stations winding through an expansive 40-acre forest. An elevated and covered 5-stand station, plus a wobble deck field make for a total of 15 shooting sites. WILSON LAWN & RACQUET CLUB This expansive club facility includes eight Har-Tru tennis courts with four courtside shelters, two bocce courts, six pickleball courts, one basketball court, and a well-equipped pro shop and pavilion. Please note swimsuits are not permitted to use the facilities.

Bluffton is a quaint, charming, coastal town whose name refers to its location atop a scenic bluff along the May River. What should we wear?
Answer
Tuxes are strongly encouraged for men and for women, long formal dresses. Welcome party will be cocktail attire. Keep in mind there are some events on grass, so wear heels best fit for you. Ladies, bring a throw or fur, as it will get chilly later into the evening.

Will there be transportation offered if we decide to stay off property?
Answer
Those staying off property will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the Montage. Friendly reminder that Ubers/Lyfts are scarce in the area. Please note that once you enter the Palmetto Bluff Gate, it's approximately a 10-15 minute drive to all venues.

Should I rent a car?
Answer
If you are staying on property at Palmetto Bluff and aren't planning to leave the resort & club, a rental car isn't necessary. Bicycles are complimentary and golf carts can be rented. Transportation on property is included for all wedding events. We do suggest arranging roundtrip car transport through the Montage concierge, as Uber/Lyft can be difficult to find on departure from the hotel. If you are not arriving at Savannah airport and/or you'd like to do some exploring of the local area (including staying off property), a car rental is a great idea.

How will we get around on property?
Answer
Most places are available by walking, a golf cart shuttle or bikes. Bikes are provided complimentary as part of the resort fee. Guests staying in homes or cottages will have bikes delivered to their accommodations prior to arrival. Guests staying in the inn or guesthouses can visit the recreation barn (next to the River House) or the recreation attendant behind the inn to pick up bikes. Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list due to limitations of the ceremony and reception venues. For this reason, our celebration is strictly RSVP only and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We hope you'll be able to make arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!
