Ceremony: Oaks Pioneer Chapel

Our ceremony will be held at the Oaks Pioneer Chapel in Portland, Oregon. This non-denominational chapel was built in 1851 and brought to Sellwood by boat in the 20th century. The chapel will have a room for coats and winter wear to be stored during the ceremony. The ceremony begins at 11:00am, with doors opening at 10:45am. When the ceremony concludes, there will be a short concert interlude while the wedding party is photographed, followed by a chance to get photographs taken with the married couple. Ample street parking is available. When you are ready, you can choose to drive to the reception venue, Sellwood Community House, or walk the 6 block distance. This building is ADA accessible and has a restroom.

Travel Note

Reception: Sellwood Community House

The reception will be held at Sellwood Community House, a short walk or drive from the ceremony venue. Arrive at your leisure between 12:15pm - 1:00pm. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are provided and will be available upon your arrival. Enjoy games, sign the guestbook, and chat while you settle into the reception space. Brunch will begin at 1:00pm, and the newlyweds will arrive shortly thereafter. Toasts and cake will follow. We will wrap up around 4:00pm, with the option of further outings if you want to keep the party going! This building has an ADA accessible entrance. The bathroom and kitchen are two steps down.
