Steve and Susie's Love Story....

Steve and Susie had spent years moving through the same spaces—grammar school at St. Stanislaus, high school at Central Catholic—and even stood side by side in their 8th-grade graduation photo. Life had kept them close enough to be familiar, yet distant enough to never truly connect. To each other, they were simply familiar faces—friendly, but nothing more. That changed on November 3, 2022, when Steve and Tricia Qualls invited them both to dinner at First & Main. The night was effortless, filled with great conversation and genuine laughter. For the first time, Steve and Susie saw each other differently. Susie’s laugh was light and full of warmth, her smile bright in a way Steve had never truly noticed before. Susie, in turn, found herself drawn to Steve’s sense of humor and quiet confidence. A few weeks later, Susie sent a simple Happy Thanksgiving message to their group chat, hoping to spark something. Steve responded quickly, asking when they would all get together again. That led to another evening at Steve and Tricia’s house on December 2, where something subtle yet undeniable shifted. Steve, always quick with a joke, had Susie laughing all evening. He found himself drawn to her—her energy, her presence, the effortless flow of conversation between them. Something clicked for Steve that night. He enjoyed Susie’s company even more than he had expected. So, he asked her to dinner the next evening. On December 3, 2022, they had their first real date at Table 26, where they talked for hours, closed the restaurant, and continued their conversation at Staley’s—the “most romantic bar in town”—where time seemed to slow and the world outside faded away. Their lives had followed strikingly parallel paths. Their parents were married just a week apart in the same year, their first children born only a day apart. Both of their fathers were artists, while their mothers filled their respective Catholic churches with music. They were raised with strong family values, where faith, a positive attitude, and a wonderful sense of humor helped them navigate life’s challenges. It had taken years—decades even—for them to reach this place, but now, the timing was perfect. After all those years of crossing paths, they had finally arrived at the moment meant for them—a time when they were ready to truly see each other and know, without a doubt, that the wait was over.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Wedding attire (Casual Cocktail , Cocktail): We’re celebrating in a barn, so think cocktail attire with a relaxed twist — dresses, jumpsuits, nice pants, button-downs, and boots or block heels are all welcome. Dress to feel great and dance under the stars!
