What started as his dream became ours. A pre-wedding in Japan, accompanied by his favourite Doraemon OST by Masaki Suda.
We first met during the Indonesian orientation at NTU — just two strangers thrown into the same crowd, not knowing that we were about to stumble into something life-changing. At the time it was just a hello, a smile, a familiar accent in a foreign place. But looking back, that moment feels like the opening line of a story we never knew we were waiting to write. Fate must’ve had a sense of humor, because not only did we end up studying the same course, but we also even stayed in the same hall. Suddenly, you were everywhere — in the corridor, in lectures, in the study rooms. And slowly, without us realizing it, we drifted into each other’s days. Sitting together in class became natural. Sharing jokes turned into sharing stories. And somewhere along the way, friendship began to feel like home. Our late-night study – more like supper, session made it even harder not to fall for you. Whether it was grabbing McDonald’s fries or cooking Indomie side by side in the pantry at hours we definitely shouldn’t have been awake, those small moments started to mean everything. They were simple, but with you, simple was magical. So, after nine beautiful years filled with laughter, adventures, and unforgettable moment, we decided to get married. Not because we needed a grand gesture, but because our hearts had already made that decision long ago. Saying “yes” was just the natural next chapter of a story that has always felt meant to be.
