Like many great relationships, ours began with an unexpected push. We were both on the Saguaro High track team and had never spoken—until Sara’s mom remarked that Alex would make a handsome accessory for cotillion. So, with some encouragement, our mutual friend Dane was sent to test the waters. Alex—thinking it was a joke—politely declined. But once he realized Dane was serious, and that he had the chance to go out with a cute girl, Alex made it a point to correct his mistake. Not long after, he asked Sara to prom. They went in 2014—and have been together ever since. Fast-forward 11 years: we’ve graduated high school and college, made it through three years of long distance (Sara in Oregon, Alex in California for his PhD), reunited in Los Angeles, moved to Maryland, adopted our cat Blossom, and are getting married in 2025. Next stop: Boston before the new year!
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at a private residence graciously hosted by a family friend. Guests may park in the neighborhood, and we kindly ask that you be courteous to our hosts and their neighbors.
There’s no formal dress code. It's not black tie by any means, but we encourage guests to dress for the occasion! Think garden party - elevated and festive. The evening can dip below 50 degrees, so be sure to bring a layer to stay warm once the sun sets.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 4:30 PM. We kindly ask all guests to plan to arrive early. This will allow time to mingle with other guests and enjoy live music before we begin. Punctuality is greatly appreciated.
We are not currently registered, as we recently moved to Maryland and will be relocating to Boston shortly after the wedding. Your presence truly means the world to us. If you wish to give a gift, we would be so grateful for contributions toward our new chapter in Boston (and fewer boxes to move!).
Due to safety concerns with the venue’s unfenced pool, small children cannot attend.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 15th.
Our wedding is an intimate celebration at a family friend’s home, so invitations are addressed to those we’re able to accommodate. If you’d like to bring a guest, please contact Sara or Alex.
Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below.
If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
