Stephen and Camille met in 2022 in Chicago, first connecting online before hitting it off and making in-person plans. Their first date was downtown about a week after Valentine’s Day, dinner at Roka Akor followed by continued conversation at the Signature Room, taking in views of the city from the 95th floor of the John Hancock. And while Signature Room has sadly since closed, it was certainly the start of a new chapter for them both! After further conversation they realized they both lived in the South Loop, literally 3 blocks away from each other, and worked in adjacent fields, Stephen in enterprise sales at the time and Camille at a PR/marketing agency. As the weather got nicer, they spent many a time exploring the city, often with Camille’s dog, August, along for the ride. To this day, they love a random adventure! From snorkeling in Mexico, to hiking the Rocky Mountains, to spelunking southern caves or visiting a local gem, one of their favorite pastimes is exploring new things together. In the same vein, they also appreciate a quiet day inside with their favorite snacks, an ever-growing board game collection, and of course, the Xbox. On the surface they are different in many ways: Stephen more extroverted, bold, spontaneous, and Camille a bit more reserved, thoughtful and deliberate. But their differences have become a beautiful part of their relationship, perfectly complementary and a means of bringing out new sides of them both these past few years. At the center of it all, most important to them is the faith they share. Nothing has compared to the way they’ve grown individually and together in their walk with God, which continues to be a priority for their relationship. They are excited to officially come together to build a life that honors God, to be a blessing to each other and those they love. They are so grateful for the support of their loving families and friends and look forward to celebrating with them on this special day!
