It all started in the first semester of nursing school, when Dylan and Lauren were just two classmates trying to survive the intensity of exams, clinicals, and endless study sessions. Their friendship began with casual study dates and carpooling to class, but soon those small moments began to mean much more. They found themselves looking forward to every coffee break, every conversation about life, dreams, and everything in between. The connection between them grew stronger with each passing day, and it was impossible to ignore. One evening, after a romantic dinner, Dylan took Lauren to Siesta Key Beach to watch the sunset. They sat together on the soft sand, the sound of waves crashing in the background, as the sky above them slowly transformed into shades of pink and orange. In that peaceful moment, Dylan nervously turned to Lauren and asked her to be his girlfriend. And just like that, the rest was history.
After finishing nursing school, Dylan and Lauren took the next big leap: they became travel nurses. The open road called to them, and with their two fur babies by their side, they traveled across the U.S., exploring new cities, new hospitals, and new chapters of life. Every assignment brought fresh opportunities, new places to discover, and a chance to grow as both individuals and partners. Whether they were hiking in the mountains, relaxing in a new town, or navigating the next challenge that came with life on the move, Dylan and Lauren realized that home wasn’t just a place—it was being together, no matter where they were. Through every shift, every road trip, and every new city, their love grew stronger. They built a life full of adventure, love, and laughter—and they were just getting started. No matter what the future held, they knew one thing for sure: they would face it together.
While working in New Mexico, Lauren mentioned that she had always dreamed of riding in a hot air balloon. Since they were in Albuquerque—known for its stunning balloon-filled skies—Dylan knew this was the perfect chance to make her dream come true. He secretly planned a surprise sunrise hot air balloon ride for the two of them. With the world at their feet and the quiet stillness of the morning surrounding them, Dylan turned to Lauren and, with a heart full of love, asked her to marry him.
